She's wonderfully made! I love that she reminds me of a cool chick in the gardens in spring! I hope she'll be loved in the gallery too!  Smiley This is so awesome. Her teeth and eyes are just so adorable! She makes me smile too!  Cheesy

Hey, I've come across this guy who attaches springs to the soles of his shoe. Then he bounces about the park in it. Apparently it's a great workout, and it's fun! I'm not too sure of this guy's name, but you could try looking up shoes with springs.  Wink

If the blazer's big enough-what about a cushion? I just went to Ikea yesterday and they had these little cushions (Irma; 35x35cm) that will fit smaller sizes. It'll be interesting if you could remove the school pocket/emblem and re-sew it onto the cushion.

What about a giant sculpture made of recycled items? You could try to get the kids to brainstorm what they would like to make, then what materials that they could get easily (and where they can find those harder materials like used bicycle frame/tires- junkyard?) I've heard many kids like to make some kind of robot or machine. Be prepared for the sculpture to be HUGE! Let the kids take charge of the lessons, scaffold them when needed. If the school allows, could they have the sculpture as an exhibition, or an artifact? Sculptures are not only fun, they promote team work. Reggio Amelia methods have very interesting ideas on project work.

Another idea is you could do music with recycled items, have you seen the cast of Stomp? Maybe you could start off by inspiring the kids by showing a video.

I hope it helps! All the best!

116  NEWS AND DISCUSSION ABOUT CRAFTSTER / Craftster Itself / Re: Why do YOU love Craftster?? on: November 07, 2007 10:12:11 PM
How could we not love craftster? I've been lurking about for years, and finally joined. It took me soooo long to join coz I've been so busy with things, like graduating, going to a new school, getting a job and a lot more that you'd probably don't care about!  Roll Eyes So now that things are pretty toned down, and I've got more time on my hands, it's a perfect opportunity to join in the fun, posting up creations, looking and admiring others work, and all in all, to just be inspired, and inspire people! The world sure would be a more colourful and awesome place when inspiration and creativity comes. And Craftster, is the cause of this! Thank god for craftster!  Grin
