I made my own baby sling, and can still use it 2 years later it was very easy, I also tend to make letter pillows for friends with little ribbon loops so they can be hung on the wall .

sorry for the crappy pic, his daddy was in the Army but tha acu fabric does not photograph well.

And a willy wonka bag made out of an old pair of jeans I must say for a begginer sewer you did a really great job!(looks like we both used the same imageLOL)

8  my very first embroidered project-wedding pillow in Needlework: Completed Projects by lillidrew312 on: January 01, 2008 07:20:26 PM
So I have done some cross stitch when iwas younger more than 1o yrs ago. I got this idea for my sister in laws wedding gift when I saw the pillow I wanted to buy her was like $40. So I thought hey this is even better one of a kind right, lol. I took the hearts from her invitation and scanned them into my computer used a font to match her text and this is what I got,not to happy with the hearts not sure if I knew what I was doing but I love the text, I think I am going to start embroidering more of my sewing projects. I do have to sew the pillow but could not wait to post it. Also the fabric matches my dress(I am a a brides maid!)
Please let me know what you all think I am so new to this and want  any tips you have:)
