31  prisma octopus -Now with photos in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by BadVal on: November 06, 2007 12:45:56 PM
I did this drawing this summer while on a camping trip. We were at the coast and I was inspired.

It's prisma (you can see the color numbers on the side border). This is my first piece in 5 years! Having kids will do that I guess. Anyways thanks for looking and let me know what you think.

32  necklace recon in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by BadVal on: November 06, 2007 12:33:33 PM
I received this souvenir necklace from a family friend. It was a nice thought but not really my style. I thought, "We can rebuild it" (six million dollar man....anybody?). I used my trusty needle nose and some wire and buttons from my stash.

It turned out okay, well I'm happy with it.

Now the action shot, please excuse the cleavage.

Hope you enjoyed my post. It's my first in this forum, hence the links. Thanks for looking!

33  Thrift store poncho recon - Now With Pictures! in Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects by BadVal on: November 05, 2007 07:33:05 PM
Greetings! I'm a long time lurker, first time poster. To get right to it, I bought this poncho at a thrift store 3 or 4 years ago. I loved it. However, I gave in to constant ridicule and stashed it in my closet

We recently moved. While packing and sorting I came across the poncho and just couldn't let it go. After a little pondering I decided to attempt a hoodie for my daughter. I just traced around one of her hoodies, cut it out and went to town. The end result, a cute hoodie I'm jealous of.

This was my first recon, it's kinda wonky but I'm proud of it. I still need to put some buttons on it. I'm thinking those wooden barrel buttons that fasten with a loop. What do you think?

Thanks for looking!
