21  My Little Pony Christmas Stockings! in Winter Holidays by smashu on: January 03, 2013 04:09:38 PM
This Christmas I was inspired to design some new stockings for two of my friends that are hardcore My Little Pony fans. I personally love the show as well and the characters on the reboot My Little Pony Friendship is Magic translate well to my stocking design style. I present you with Applejack and Fluttershy!

I received from Craftsunderground this past week and could not BELIEVE how many amazing things she made! Firstly, I opened the box and had the most awesome and hilarious surprise in the form of a non-traditional stocking.. LUMPY SPACE PRINCESS!!!

For anyone that doesn't know the epic-ness that is Adventure Time, this is a hilarious character from the cartoon. I had told my partner that I loved Adventure Time and we were planning to do an AT theme for our place and a Nightmare Before Christmas theme for the family home so any holiday ornaments in those two themes would be lovely Smiley Craftsunderground was even thoughful enough to make a filler pillow that I can stuff inside LSP when she isn't all lumpy with tons of awesome gifts;) She's got a button closure on the back which the loop of can be used to hang her on display!

My partner had written a lovely note that explained all the gifts were packaged in two ways, holiday ornaments were in cool skull bottle bags so I could open them earlier to decorate with! And non-holiday themed stuff was wrapped in pretty paper so I could opt to open them later (turns out.. that didn't happen lol).

She totally embraced the Adventure Time theme and I couldn't be happier! Felt hand embroidered ornaments of four of the AT characters Finn, Fionna, Cake, and Princess Bubblegum:

Embdriodered LUMPY SPACE PRINCESS GLOVES!! I died.. lol

Some totally awesome super strong AT magnets, much needed in our new place! I can't wait to put them on the fridge Smiley

In the Nightmare Before Christmas theme, she made not one, not two, but three beautiful fabric buntings with all kinds of perfectly fitting fabrics! She told me later that she used a tutorial I had myself made and posting online for fabric bunting hehe Smiley The two large strands of bunting also have really cool appliques on some of the flags that show the hill from NBC and the third strand is miniature so we can put it on our tree Cheesy

A Worm Wort vial ornament and some needle pullers (I've never seen these before but am eternally grateful! I've been using my jewelery pliers lol)

Purple icicles which will go perfect with our colour theme and a set of NBC figurines which I have literally never even seen in person before. So AWESOME! I'm thinking I can rig Jack up to sit at the top of the tree..

My **FIRST** ever Teesha Moore patch. So pretty! I'm excited, it's a great starting point to push me to start making some of my own to be its neighbors lol

I couldn't believe she made me all that amazing stuff and there was still more to open! These blew my mind.. A beautiful asymmetrically patterned scarf that is TOTALLY me Cheesy And awesome wrist warmer gloves! (this is when I started freaking out and wondering if I had made enough for her.. lol)
She also included some supplies which will be extremely helpful with all my crafting adventures Smiley

Holy moly guys. I have the greatest partner EVER! Cheesy Thank you so much Craftsunderground, you are brilliant!

Day 9 - Picnic rolls, one side holds cutlery and she actually included plastic forks and knives, and the other side is a placemat! So awesome Cheesy

Day 10 - Wish necklace!

Day 11 - embroidery and plushy supplies! This is great, can't wait to use it all  :-)

I got an amazing package from whenindoubtsew yesterday. She had claimed me for a vintagey type skirt. Not only was it made with kick ass vintage fabric, she was mindful about the colors (which I love), the size and length are perfect, and the style is adorable!!! (my picture doesn't do it justice). I CAN'T WAIT TO WEAR IT!!

Next, an adorable crocheted bracelet!

As I opened up the package further, I realized there was an extra surprise.. She had made my OH a t-shirt of his favorite Adventure Time character. YAY!

Thank you for making such thoughtful and lovely gifts! And thank you especially for thinking of my OH, he was very excited to have a surprise and something he loves!!

A mug with illustrations on each side with my logo
A cool distressed tee

Some halloween themed extras

Thank you so much! You put a lot of work into each piece and they are lovely Smiley

Cute coasters! My parents love mike's hard lemonade so I grew up with the packaging around the house and I love the logo!

I've actually had pretty good luck with Canada to USA packages for swaps, usually they arrive early. For some reason Lindy's just took forever though lol I received from kaz814 super fast Smiley She made a fabric plant and pattern weights that can also be heated up in the microwave and used for handwarmers for my mom! My mom has bad circulation but also loves to sew so that was a great surprise Smiley Everything is so cute and I know she will love it! Thank you Kaz!

Another one to cross off my WIP list! So excited, I bought this pattern over a year ago, the fabric over two and just now had a chance to make it! I went with my correct sizing but found I needed to take an extra three inches out of the back! So weird. Anyways, it fits great now and has pockets Cheesy It's hard to see all the darts and gathering in the sub-par photos, sorry! I swear the color of the fabric actually looks appealing.. lol
-Colette pattern: Peony no. 1017

sheepBlue- Thanks for the screen print love! Your tees look great! Oh, and your TM bag too!
kriSmith- Mmmm, dilly beans. The Teesha Moore Nook cover is purdy Smiley
MissingWillow- glorious food! I have never done any canned stuff aside from childhood jam making with my mother. You inspire! And the HP advent calender is great! And the bunny painting is beautiful. I'd hang that baby up in my place with pride!
jillybeans- woah. Those awesome peg people look like a ton of work!!
fantasticmio- I can't believe you made so many dishcloths so quickly. They are adorable! (also, "bribe" lol) Gryffindor scarf!!! *squee*
Tanath- It is! He's not even in the same province as me right now, but the age of interwebs makes anything possible! lol (with this type of artwork anyways Cheesy )
QueenNinjaMonkey- The zombie staking dolls are such a clever idea!
SilverMoon- Everything you post is completely awesome and you are kicking all our WIP list butts!
Ffrogg526- Glad the surgery went well! And that you don't have to wait until April to get a cast Wink
