21  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / A Hat For My Little Princess on: April 02, 2010 03:51:05 PM
I made this hat a very very long time ago using a pattern from the book
Too Cute Crochet for Babies & Toddlers by Cynthia Preston.
I borrowed the book from the library where I used to live and would desperately
like to buy it (the patterns are just SO CUTE!) but it is hard to find and very very expensive  Sad

Anyway, here is the little hat I made for my gorgeous girl....

The colour is more of a deep royal purple... Just came out blue in every pic!

Sorry I dont have any better photos, she is not a still model and my camera decided to die after taking this one!
C&C appreciated  Cheesy
22  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Cute Little Corduroy Pants on: March 24, 2010 07:57:55 PM
Lately I have discovered I am way better at sewing clothes for my daughter than for myself.
They always fit her better (no lumps and bumps to go over!)
They actually get finished!

So I made a pattern and whipped up these basic dark blue corduroy pants with an elastic waist.
(I was going to add a cute  applique but they looked so good on I just left them as is)

Here she is testing to see if they can withstand her constant up and downs....

Does my bum look big in this?

Perfect fit!

So what do you guys think? Grin
They are very dark so hard to see the fabric and look almost like jeans, just a bit more flexible.
C&C Much appreciated!
23  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Just A Few New Resin Pendants (IMG generous!) on: March 15, 2010 02:21:22 AM
Our internet was down today so I actually managed to get things done! Wow!
I finished off these new resin pendants I made yesterday.
I like them all but think the cute fabric ones are my favourite! Grin

24  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / A cutesy cushion made for a friend on: February 23, 2010 04:28:19 PM
Hey all Grin
When a friend came over she saw the last cushion I made
...and she fell in love with it. Smiley
Though she isnt into skulls and stuff so I showed her my big stash of cute fabrics and told her to choose what she wanted and I would make one for her.
So here it is:

And the back:

She'll probably pop over this afternoon to pick it up-hope she likes it!
C&C Much appreciated! Grin

25  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / A Not So Valentine Present For My Hubby on: February 21, 2010 03:00:37 AM
Hey  Cheesy
So me and the husband don't really celebrate Valentine's Day, we feel it is a big commercial waste of money and we don't need to spend a tonne of money on cheesey stuff when we tell each other we love them every day. Yeah we are pretty mushy people and I felt like making something nice for my man. Not to celebrate Valentine's Day but more just as a nice thing to  let him know how much I love him.
(Yeah sorry it is SO mushy lovey dovey!)
Anyway so I made him this cushion:

And embroidered this awesome flame dragon:

With funky metallic thread for  the tail and spine spikes.:

C&C Much appreciated Grin
26  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / The Grim Adventures Of Billy & Mandy (I <3 Grim!) on: February 21, 2010 02:50:25 AM

27  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / No More Dead Bugs With My Cutlery! on: February 05, 2010 01:42:52 PM
For some odd reason there are these teeny tiny bugs that like to fly in our kitchen window (it is jammed shut but a pesky gap is open) and then they decide to die in my cutlery rack. Angry
Our kitchen is horrible, we have NO DRAWERS! Ah it drives me nuts and there is very little bench space so the cutlery tray has only one possible home, on top of the microwave, in front of the bug gateway (window).
I have been wanting to do something with this fabric for so long, have had it for at least a year and not cut into it yet!

So I turned this boring plastic cutlery tray......

Into this fabric covered cutlery tray! With little slits to access cutlery.

Oh hello in there Mr Fork!

It does look nicer IRL but I started this at 5am (baby alarm!) and by the time I finished I was not in the mood for pretty pics  Cheesy
C&C Much Appreciated! Grin

30  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / I like to have (even more!) fun with my resin. on: January 21, 2010 08:35:25 PM
Hey all,
Well here are a  few more resin bits I have done lately.
The first one has a bit of a story to it....
My sister in law (don't really get along, long story, spoilt little brat) went to Germmany with her mum (she is 16 this girl) to meet a boy she met online a year or two ago. Well when I say boy, he is really in his early 20s....Anyway! She is in Germany on her holiday and all she does is keep updating her damn facebook status every hour or even less sometimes whinging about how she never wants too come back home, she has no friends here (she has never thought it could be HER thats the problem though) and going on and on about getting drunk with this guy and blah blah blah.
Ideally I would have slapped her in the face but distance prevented that.
Second I would have responded to every bitch and moan but everytime I do she and her mum punish my poor hubby for it so I have to keep my mouth shut....And let my hands do the talking!

I was tempted to just fill it with swear words but I showed AMAZING self control. Lol and I love the irony of the hearts.
Anyway I will shush now and show you my other bits....

Love the geek one, my hubby and me are pretty geeky so its special for us Cheesy

Thanks for looking C&C much appreciated! Grin
