Adorable!  Cheesy  I love it! May I ask what kind of paint you used? Not long ago my mom and I decorated a quite a few cups for a party and they came out ok, but the paint was no where as smooth as yours.

Stunning! The color is lovely, it's a great combo.

It was insanity. It took me three hours for my number to be called for the cutter and to get thru the checkout line. But it was worth it.

No, it's all crochet. The last row is beaded. I had to string 100 beads on at a time, crochet them in, break the yarn, add 100 more... and repeat. It was my least favorite row to say the least!

I had a cold. I was delirious. It was Black Friday. Fabric was 70% off at Joann's. I had just bought a 40's style suit. I obviously needed a 40's style fascinator to match. So I made this...

Sorry for the poor photo. Last Sun I was all dolled up, hat and all, and I forgot to take photos.  Tongue

6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Kim Hargreaves Flourish scarf aka My first crochet on: December 12, 2008 05:21:23 PM
My first crocheting project is complete! I've only ever knit before but when I saw the pattern for this scarf I was instantly converted.  Grin

The pattern called for Rowan Kidsilk Haze doubled up. Instead I used Kidsilk Aura to avoid having to double up and hopefully save some money. Unfortunately, the pattern is written incorrectly and it actually takes 4, not two balls of yarn to finish so I didn't really save what I wanted to. Undecided  But, I love it! I'd make another in a heartbeat.

The photo's color is off but I have a cold and I can't be bothered to retake photos. So just image it be to a dark green. The color is actually called "forest." The color is closer on the second pic but still not great.

I highly recommend the pattern, just buy extra yarn.

Beautiful! The grey is very chic.

Looove the fabric choice! I have curtains waiting for repurposement (that's a word right?  Grin) in my closet. Maybe a corset is the way to go.... thanks for the idea!

Love the color. What a great first project! Hope your friend enjoys your hard work.  Grin
