Yay!! I received my jewelry package from Dawl!  It's awesome!

I recruited Domo to model for me, but he did not come with the package Smiley

That's a knitted wire necklace, purple stained glass pendant, and a pair of awesome stained glass earrings that domo is "holding".

Thank you so much Dawl!

12  Re: Beginners inchies (& and ATC) round 2 Gallery. Send outs 6th June in The Swap Gallery by Opalgryphon on: May 24, 2011 04:58:25 AM
I received from TWO of my partners!

Everything's awesome!  Thank you so much coconutbells and Calabaza!

First.....seriously....coconutbells did a portrait of my dog for my atc! It's so awesome!  I almost squeeked a little when I saw it!  The goddess is lovely as well, but I love my Gizmo! (We're both sending a little extra, hence the extra atc)

And the inchies from coconutbells:

You crack me up!  They're great!  Even the flaming giraffe, lol.  Thank you so much!

And from Calabaza I got an awesome sushi atc! The card even looks like seaweed...Smiley

She also sent sci-fi, goldfish, octopus, and tea inchies!  Thank you!

I received an awesome package from A2K on Friday!

She made me a set of her lovely coiled fabric coasters in the perfect colors for my living room!

And a zippered owl pouch with a little beaded dangly zipper pull Smiley

I also have to mention that I love the home made mailing envelope she used....it's such an awesome idea!

Thank you for such a great package A2K!  I love it!

Yay!!!  I received my package from sloth003, my super awesome angel! She made a project case for my Sketchbook Project 2012 sketchbook, a tea wallet, a pleated/ruffled clutch, and a little owl stuffy!  I love the fabric choices for both the items and the FQ's (Yay goldfish!)

I'm absolutely thrilled with everything, thank you so much! The quality is fantastic, and my sketchbook fits perfectly in the case Smiley

I guess I'll be the first!

My theme is "Along the Line", but my interpretation is more like "somewhere along the line in my life".  Basically it's just a visual journal of some of the random bits and pieces from my life.  I'm just not creative enough to come up with anything better than that, lol!

I'll arrange their order in the sketchbook later.  Right now they're loose.

Palmistry lines on my hand....note the band-aid....there's always a band-aid....

Just like everything else I plant, my gardenia bush seems to be on it's last legs Sad

The next two are a spread (note the layout in the thumbnails!)....aside from my husband, Helen is my next bestest Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu partner!

Herman....ended up being Hermina.  Who knew? Pastels and pen.

My labyrinth knockers....I've been having fun playing with silk screening a bit, and have gotten some crazy cool swap goodies in exchange for the knockers on t-shirts!! My carpenter hubby is impressed by my woodgrain (pen over watercolor), lol.

Yay! Now if I can just keep up the momentum....

16  Cactus Pincushions! in Completed Projects by Opalgryphon on: April 16, 2011 08:54:57 AM
So....my wish swap partner had this cactus pincushion on her wists, and it was just sooo cute I had to give it a try!

My first attempt at machine sewing with flannel instead of felt ended with a terribly twisted mutant cactus (apparently stuffie sewing is not in my future!). So I salvaged what I could and cut one of the "arms" off and stuck it in a pot for myself to use as a mini-pincushion:

The final result was made from felt and I machine sewed each piece then hand stitched them together:

I mixed gold/brown toned seed beads with craft glue that dried clear for the "sand" to fill in around the base of the cactus a little and help glue him in place.

My husband was also highly amused by the stuffing of the cactus, lol...

17  Bleep...Klang....Zoop!! Robot Greeting Card! in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by Opalgryphon on: April 16, 2011 08:12:27 AM
He's part of an "Ongoing Wish Swap" package from a while back and about 5x7" watercolor and pen.  I love watercolor paper greeting cards!  Unfortunately, the Jerry's Artarama near our house seems to have stopped carrying them  Cry

Original robot snagged from here:

18  Knockers for your Knockers!! in Screen Printing: Completed Projects by Opalgryphon on: April 14, 2011 05:03:02 AM
My partner in the Labyrinth swap received, so I can finally share!

Silk screened Labyrinth knockers on your....knockers! Lol!  I had fun with this one...took me a little while to mix up a good bronzey gold color Smiley

(rockin' the bathroom mirror/iPhone over face shot!)

I'll pull a better photo off my camera after work....I didn't realize the printing itself was so unclear on that photo until after I wrote all this out  Tongue

New -Close up- Photo!

If anyone wants one, pm me.....we can probably arrange a personal swap Smiley  I'm not offering freebies anymore after having someone abuse my generosity.

19  Re: Labyrinth Swap Round 4 GALLERY!! in The Swap Gallery by Opalgryphon on: April 13, 2011 04:41:40 PM
They're screen printed Smiley I kept the knockers screen rather than washing it out....a bunch of my friends want me to make them knockers shirts, lol.

I am, however, feeling totally inadequate because of the insanely awesome package Anubisheart sent me.  I can't believe how much you put together for me!

First, a fancy ballroom scene mirror etched with an owl, and an owl necklace (I love everything, but I really really love the necklace!)

Awesometastic clock purse!  (we were working on clock chokes in my Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class last night, and every time I say/think "Clock"  I add a "choke" after it, lol)

My picture didn't work quite the way I had intended....Ludo (hugging a rock!) in the upper left is on a pair of shorts, and "Only Goblin Kings Should Sparkle" is on a t-shirt....they just blend together in the picture.

On the back of the Sparkle shirt:

I would love to know how you stencil words like that....do you cut them all out by hand?  If you buy letter stencils, how do you line the words up without smudging them?

Thank you again for such a great package!

Received from Banga!  I got tasty treats and a binder full of recipes for more tasty treats!  Also, got some origami paper, card stock to make a lamp, and some thread Smiley

I almost forgot to take a picture before I busted into the caramel peach preserves.  I have a PB&J addiction, so I always love trying new jams, jellies and preserves.

Thanks Banga!
