1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / Your favourite super hero/ine swap? on: June 09, 2018 11:59:38 AM
Soooo...I was wondering if there would be craftsters up for a(nother - as I imagine there has been these before) 'your favourite superhero/ine swap'?

It would be international friendly as I am located in Denmark and I'm thinking small+large or medium+large, but I'm good with shaping it what ever we feel like <3

Best wishes,
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Other knitted braids than latvian? on: March 02, 2013 04:04:00 AM

I have just done my first "Latvian braid" in a piece of knit work and I am now pondering, does there exist other kinds of braids/chains what-not you can knit onto your work?

A quick search didn't give much result so I thought I'd ask here Smiley
Here's to hoping there is!

Knitted regards,
3  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / The hearts of Valentine - The Mitten Project on: February 21, 2013 11:20:34 AM
A reader or two might have seen my other posts with mittens from The Mitten Project. Here is yet another one. These were the first pair of mittens in February, of course they had to be with hearts!

These were a joy to knit! The pattern was so well made, graphically, so made me smile every time I looked at it. If you feel like a project I can definitely recommend it Smiley

Here is the long post with all the process, notes & thought.

Here is a picture of the poll that is going on right now (come and vote if you feel like it - I appreciate all the help I can get Smiley) It's gonna be hoot of a knit I'm sure^^

Thanks for your visit! Wink
4  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Meta Mittens - The Mitten Project on: February 06, 2013 09:05:19 AM
So for the second pair of mittens done on The Mitten Project AND the first poll! The Meta Mitten was chosen. It was soo exiting having the first poll and I was actually surprised that I got 26 votes!

I made a little difference in the pattern compared to the original as I did one of the sheep in black. It just seemed so logic. The picture here is of the unblocked mittens as I haven't gotten them blocked at all yet. But sweet are they. They are too big for my teny-tiny hands but doesn't really matter as the project isn't about doing mittens for myself. There need to be something for those who have bigger than just women's S/M

Here is the full post with notes on the pattern and process.

If you want to help me choose mittens, and choose what kind of mitten you can win in the end, there is a poll up right now and it's time for some new techniques!  You can vote here in this post.
5  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Flamingo Mittens - The Mitten Project on: January 23, 2013 12:26:09 PM
So. I'm doing a project this year. I am knitting a mitten a week - a pair in two weeks. I'm calling it The Mitten Project. My idea is to have year full of mittens. In the end I'm gonna give three pairs of mittens away to the readers of my blog. Until then I'm getting help choosing what mittens to do.
I've been going through how many pages of mitten patterns on Ravelry I can't remember! And I've compiled it into themes and categories. Some are obvious to have in

The set up of the project is that, beside knitting and writing about the mittens, i make notes on the pattern. Write down a bit about it, of course where you buy it, tips and notes for the project. I also write down about the entire process so you can follow how I'm managing it all and perhaps get some ideas

I haven't been sharing projects here on craftster for a while now. If not a very long while. It has been at least a year or two since I have been active Shocked oi vey time goes by fast! And I must admit I'm a bit rusty as well needy to post here. So now that I'm actually have pictures of what I've done I though I should push my self to post again. Oh the nerves! ;P

The first mitten of January was Flamingo Mittens from SpillyJane. SpillyJane makes wonderful patterns with amazing whimsical motifs. I'm a bit sad I couldn't get a hold of a fresher green without it being pastel green. So I had to 'settle' for army green. The knit was really fun a great first mitten of my year of mittens.

If you want to read more about my project and the mittens you can here.
- Post on the finished mittens incl. notes and thoughts on the pattern
- First update on the Flamingo Mitten

You can also vote on what mitten I should knit in February! It's St. Valentines so hearts hearts hearts is the theme^^

10  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / A little piggy with a rhyme! on: January 18, 2010 07:50:29 PM
Okay. It's now 4:35 in the morning and I just CAN'T sleep e.e

So what have i been doing for the past 2 hours? Yes you might ask if I've gone mad and I might just agree on that. Never had i thought I would knit something this small [1,5" ish]. Nor had I any intentions of making a pig. I started out thinking "Hm. That little elephant I can make!" but I was lazy and didn't want to go get the proper color yarn so I grabbed what was close to me: pink. Out came a tail and a teeny tiny bottom and all of a sudden it got a little life of it's own! "Here comes pinky" it shouted and sure here he came: A cute little piggy with his own little name:

His mug shot:

Lying on his side showing off his little legsies:

And he even stands on his own!

Okay! I'm too tired for being awake. Hopefully I can stop rhyming now and go get some sleep! Wish me luck!
