1  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: I Want What I Can't Craft Swap (Round 2) Gallery on: November 02, 2008 02:59:30 PM
Crap! Yes, I did get the Cat5 bracelet and I liked it too! Smiley You just sent me so much that I had trouble remembering to take pictures of it all. It's a little small, you're right, but if I get my roommates to help me put it on, it's just fine. Smiley I will take a picture of it as soon as I can.

Wow, everyone has gotten such awesome stuff! ^^ Here's my loot from SciFunk. I received it a week ago, but Photobucket hasn't worked for a while...I finally just gave up and got a new account. Excuse the crappy webcam shots, but I can get you better pictures of things if you want them.

A cute little bag to hold things in my favorite color.

A kickass resin octopus necklace.

This hat. This hat is huge. It covers almost my whole head. ^^

Hat as it sits on my head in the 'right' way.

Cute purple hat. I love this one. I should wear it again today...

A calorimetry...I've always wanted one of these!

A Fullmetal Alchemist art book! I have been meaning to buy this only about a million times, but never did. Now I own it for real! Cheesy

A blood rune (Fullmetal again) necklace. I wore this thing every day since I got it, and now I don't know where it is, which makes me really, really sad. Sad

A cuuuuute headband with various octopus pictures on it.

And, for our organizer, proof of sending of my package to SciFunk:

This was an amazing swap and I'm sooooo happy to have been in it! Smiley
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Drooling over a knit pattern, can you make it crochet? on: October 29, 2008 12:11:28 PM
I've heard that there are ways to convert knit patterns to crochet using some instructions for stitch substitution. I've never tried it myself, but if you're interested, let me know and I'll try to help. Smiley
4  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: I am new and need help on: October 29, 2008 12:09:50 PM
I know this might be a little late, but I usually just use embroidery thread or sewing thread and a suitable needle. It seems to give me a stronger hold.
Maybe that information will help someone someday. Wink
5  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: I Want What I Can't Craft Swap (Round 2) SIGNUPS CLOSED Sendouts 10/10 on: October 29, 2008 10:45:30 AM
Iiii can't find the gallery thread because I'mmmm stupid....but I just wanted to say that I've received and my partner has received too. I took a bunch of pictures, but my photobucket isn't cooperating with me to let me upload them. Sad

Even though I don't personally agree with your political views, I think it's great that so many people are feeling a need to get involved in this election. It's really awesome to see so many people stepping up and wanting to change things. Smiley
Are those the fabric paints that come in a tube? Those things are so great when you're pressed for time and NEED a shirt RIGHT AWAY. I need to get some more of them...good job on the lettering and I like how you used more than one color. It's a little thing that really does make a difference.
7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / The Swap Gallery / Re: Going Off to College Gallery~! :) on: September 28, 2008 09:21:50 PM
I suck pretty hardcore at taking pictures and things.  Embarrassed However, I LOVED everything in my package. The earrings and octo got broken in transit, though, which made me a sad panda, but I'm still wearing the earrings anyway. Tongue I will put up an action shot of my bag when I get a chance. The headband is also awesome - I've worn it once (too hot out!) and I'll be wearing it more when it gets colder.
I have sent out one of two packages (I got really behind in my crafting and then I got busy and then I got worried about my package and then and then and blah blah blah) but my next package will be sent out tomorrow or early Tuesday! I'm really pleased with everything I got and I hope AlishaMisha can forgive me for taking so damn long with this thing.
8  Craft Swaps / ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED / Re: Givers and Needers Swap R4 - Sendouts 3 Oct and 17 Oct on: September 22, 2008 10:40:28 AM
Hey everyone. This'll be the first time that I'm not in a round of this swap - kind of makes me feel funny! Anyway, I just wanted to say that I hope this goes well and that everyone gets what they need. Smiley Have fun!

well, no. and i wear it all the time. i dont think youd have a problem unless you were trying to sell them. what are they going to say?
"give me your shirt, thats right, right off your back! you stole my design, RAWR!!!"

hahahaha, well no, but I was reading his site and all his stuff says like "one of a kind, wearable art" which seems just the littlest bit pretentious, and I have family in his general area of Massachusetts. lol. I'll just bring a different purse next time I visit.  Grin Grin

I wouldn't worry. There was a big discussion about this on Craftster somewhere a long time ago, and I think the general conclusion we arrived at was that if you're not selling things with the art on it or passing it off as your own, you're fine. He [the artist] may not be too thrilled with it, but there's not much they can do about it.
