11  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Re: Elemental Dolls on: March 07, 2011 11:42:05 AM
I'm a bit of a newb, what is wist/pinterest?
Wists is what a lot of Craftsters use to catalog projects they love - either to make something similar in the future, or to inspire swap partners.
Pinterest is the more modern version of Wists. There are links to both of mine, if you want to check them out and see what they are all about.
To get a Wist, you just go to wists.com and sign up. Pinterst is currently in invite-only stages, but I am sure if you wanted one there are a few of us around that could offer you an invite.  Smiley

I'm so glad you submitted this! I absolutely want to try this. I am in the process of moving (omg 3 weeks!) so I can't do it now Sad  But on the plus side, the place I am moving to has a separate "shop" where I might be able to do resin year round! Cheesy
Your resin work is always inspiring and I love this Jar of Stars. So creative!

Whoa i love this!  I am not an English major, but I am a self-proclaimed book worm. I dream of having a reading nook where I can fill the walls with glowing books. For now i will have to be happy with just adding this to my wist/pinterest.
14  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / Re: Upcycled Franklin Planner to Kindle cover -- using snow dyed fabric!!!! on: March 06, 2011 06:16:56 PM
I LOVE it!!  I am totally pinning/wisting this!
I love the re-use of a day planner (I have a similar one - ideas are brewing now!) and the snow dyed fabric, of course Cheesy  I'd think having it in a cover like that would make it feel more like you're holding a "real" book (something that has deterred me from getting an ereader).
Wonderful job!

18  POTTERY, CERAMICS, POLYMER CLAY / Polymer Clay: Discussion and Questions / Re: Getting Started With Polymer Clay (Check here before asking questions) on: March 04, 2011 08:25:23 AM
You should absolutely try again! You might want to invest in an oven thermometer - a lot of times the dial on the oven is not accurate. By having a 2nd stand-alone thermometer you can ensure the oven is the right temperature.
