1  My first post~ACU Army Bags in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by Bandwife on: May 27, 2008 12:15:23 PM
I just made these two bags out of Army uniforms.  The ACU one was made from my hubby's uniform that he wore in Iraq. The other one is made from my brothers reserve uniform from 20 years ago for my mom.  Grin  I've always liked bags that I've seen other ladies carrying and figured out I could make my own.  I lined it with a heavy stabilizer and batting...made it very durable.  Hope you all like.

2  Re: Amy Butler Weekender Bag sew-a-long? in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions by Bandwife on: May 27, 2008 07:15:14 AM
Thanks everyone...I just finished my bag. I LOVE it.  Just in time too, we are moving next week and taking a month vacation, so it'll come in handy.  I think I'll have craft withdrawals!! Smiley It wasn't as bad as I expected.  I did make my own piping which I found to be the toughest part along with sewing all the layers together. But as long as I took my time, it wasn't too bad.  I didn't put metal feet on it though. I was too worried I'd mess it up...maybe the next one. I'll try to post a picture but I'm not sure how.
