91  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / 5 Legged Machine on: February 20, 2008 12:06:22 PM
I just completed this projct for my art class.  It's not my current style but some elements are something that I want to explore more.  This was done super fast, so there are a few things I'd change next time.  It's mat board covered with foil and painted with acrylics, then glued together.

92  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Bunny Bowling on: February 19, 2008 11:06:23 AM
I decided that it would be cute if you could bowl for bunnies!  i have a real bunny obsession lately!  My son also seems to have a bunny obsession, but he calls them hip-hippies instead of bunnies!  The bunnies are about 6 1/2" tall including ears and weighted at the bottom. I'm going to do a cream set next and use some gorgeous fabric i just picked up, for the ears!

93  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / Day of Dead Sugar Skulls on: February 09, 2008 12:03:19 AM
it's really late at night..... i just finished carving and printing some sugar skulls!  I'm so happy with them, very cute little guys!!

94  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Heartfelt Critters on: February 08, 2008 07:31:41 PM
I've been busy making these super soft cuddly critters!  I have been experimenting with different types of yarn ....... it's so much fun!  Also I decided to make some cards using images of these little guys!  You can see that here:

95  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Sculpture Fibre Art on: February 08, 2008 11:05:11 AM
This is my first time posting in this section (eeeek).  I've been doing art for over 10 years now, mostly acrylic painting.  I've taken many courses over the years as well as being privately tutored.  I decided a while ago to combine one of my favorite crafts (crochet) with my art and this is what was born. It's not how I intended it to turn out, so I trashed it, but I've learned a lot of lessons for my next one!  Let me know hwat you think... honestly.

96  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Completed Projects / Lino Carving Bunnies on: February 08, 2008 10:58:58 AM
I am not sure if this is the correct place to put this, there is no area for lino/block printing in the reproduction section.  I've decided to start caving more lino, and these little guys were a lot easier than i thought they'd be!!  This is my first set of "stencils".  They are from photographs of my crochet bunnies!  I hand painted the hearts!

97  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / "Here Fido!" Dog Pull Toy on: January 13, 2008 12:21:47 AM
A long time ago I made a kitty pull toy, however it didn't actually pull due to crochet wheels.  Since then I've bought wooden wheels!  Here is my first doggie pull toy!  I'm very proud of him!!!  But he took FOREVER to finish!  I am going to make some more soon.  They are lots of fun, though I'm not sure how functional they will be as an actual toy, might just be a display item.

98  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / 50's Cropped Cardigan on: January 05, 2008 12:15:32 PM
So I started making the Monica Brown Cropped Cardigan, but didn't like the shell stitch, so I replaced it with puff stitches, and this is how it turned out!  Also the shell stitch didn't go with my fantastic buttons!  I'm really happy with how it fits; the 50's flared style.  Now I just need to get some cute long sleeved tops to wear under it! and maybe a cute pencil skirt!

Here is the original pattern:

99  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Funny Noise Makers on: January 04, 2008 07:45:11 PM
So for my little New Year's party I had to get noise makers.  At the dollar store all they had was ugly pirate ones (beleive me, if they were cool pirate ones I would have left them as is, but these were UGLY!!), but I bought them anyways.  Whn I got home, I decided to throw some stickers on them, and here's what you get!

This is what they say: all snuggles, tiny bubbles, rubber duckie sweetie, cute toothless joy, chubby chld binky, drool itty bitty  (all i had was baby related words!)
100  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Cute Letter Magnets on: January 04, 2008 07:38:59 PM
I DID NOT make these, but hope to one day...... a friend of mine makes them and I just think they are so cute!  She made me my son's name so I could put them in his stocking.  There're much hipper than your standard plastic alphabet letters!
