1  Hoops and Yoyo! in Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects by McGooglykins on: February 05, 2009 06:33:58 PM
One of my friends is backpacking around Australia right now, so I had no fixed address to send her bday/xmas presents to. She'll be up where I am at the end of the month, so I thought I'd better get a wriggle on and finish up her gifts!

and his little cotton tail!

2  21st B'Day Guitar Bag! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by McGooglykins on: July 10, 2008 11:22:24 PM
One of my friends, who is crazy and wonderful, turned 21 horrendously, inexplicably ancient years old yesterday. Her party is this evening, and I shall be presenting her with this:

Her card is the personalised puzzle of her face.

And here are detail shots:

the strings are one continuous piece of hatband elastic, tied up behind the bottom row of eyelets. The knot is hidden behind the lining, and to keep them from stretching out too much, there's a single row of stitches holding them across the center.

Here's the lining. A few issues you can sort of see, but on the whole I'm happy with how it turned out. And I have plenty of scrap fabric left for more projects! The orange spots are actually shiny, but you can't really see that in this shot.

4  Re: "Twilight" by Stephanie Meyer Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by McGooglykins on: February 04, 2008 03:36:46 AM
I'm so glad you liked everything! I got the items you sent me today, too, and I love them!

Here's what librarylolita gave me:

a beautiful knitted purse

a funky cuff version of Bella's bracelet (!)

(he's wearing glasses! teehee)

and a GORGEOUS piece of artwork of Edward and Bella dancing at the Prom.

I especially love the way Edward has signed Bella's cast a zillion times, and Jacobs name is crossed out  Wink

Thank you so much, librarylolita!

5  Doctor Who Tee! in Stenciling: Completed Projects by McGooglykins on: October 16, 2007 09:16:13 AM
I'm a poor uni student, and my Dad's birthday was coming up. 'What to do?' I thought to myself. After a long, hard, 5 minutes thinking I came up with the perfect solution - stencil him a t-shirt.

He's such a Doctor Who geek, and he absolutely LOVES the shirt. It's been through the wash 10 times or so now, and it hasn't faded, and the painted bits still look as clean as ever.  I'm so pleased with how it came out.
