21  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / T-shirt Mods! Thankyou, Generation T on: April 03, 2006 09:54:00 PM
I love the book Generation T:

More coming this week!! This book rocks. I was always intimidated to shred my T collection, now I'm cutting them all to ribbons.
22  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Couple quick and easy scarves on: March 06, 2006 11:08:18 PM
I totally hated knitting after xmas for a couple months, so here's my welcome back warm-up projects completed yesterday

Mohair scarf done in the addictive easy pattern of Casting on an even number of stitches (I did 24) knitting the 1st stich, then YO, K2tog to the last stich, which you knit (don't YO first!!). It comes out really pretty without making you want to pull out your hair.

Mini-scarf I did and now need to make a cute scarf pin for. Done in some funky mohair blend novelty yarn that cost too much for too little but I had to have.

Nothing too fancy, but I feel accomplished after 2 months of not-doin-squat so I had to post!
23  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Meet Stella, My new vintage machine on: March 06, 2006 11:00:47 PM
So my sister-in-law is the greatest and surprised me with this beautiful vintage Kenmore/Sears model 1207 Sewing machine. It's pale green, mounted in a great table, and just came back from the shop. It runs so smoothly!! I just had to share her.

Does anyone know how I could find out what year it was made in? I can't seem to find that anywhere. I'm ordering the manual from Relics (great site if you've never been www.sewing-machine-manuals.com) next week.

26  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Who's excited for new Magnits and Knitty? on: August 23, 2005 07:26:47 PM
So the new Magknits is due out in about a week (last day of August) and the new Knitty is out for September (not sure when in September exactly). WHOS EXCITED?? Anyone know when there'll be a new Spun. I could use another 10 todo's on top of the 100 or so I have already.
27  UNITED STATES / Massachusetts / New LYS opening in Fairhaven MA on: August 08, 2005 06:01:20 PM
For those of you on the southcoast bereaved over the loss of The Sewing Basket in Onset, I drove by a sign in an empty storefront on the corners of Main St and Center St in Fairhaven that said "Coming Soon: Eva's Yarns, Opening Fall 2005"

I am *delighted*!
28  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Roller Girl Legwarmers on: July 24, 2005 12:37:01 PM

29  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / My new SEXY pin up lamp! on: July 12, 2005 03:58:16 PM
So I was REALLY bored the other night, and decided to make my ugly ass lamp worthy of looking at:

The pin up pics are more of my PILE of pictures from my 365 Day rip-off pin up calendar. I made a box with them a few weeks back, now my lamp matches. They go all around the lamp. Unfortunatly I forgot to take a before pic, but it was that tobacco-stain yellow color. Ugh.
30  KNITTING / Knitalongs / Glampyre Waist Pack! Worthy of a KAL! on: July 06, 2005 05:07:50 PM
So for anyone who hasn't seen Glampyre lately, Stefanie has answered my knitting prayers by starting a series of patterns that use one or so skeins of yarn. I just bought the waist pack pattern, and I definatly think this would make an excellent KAL!!
