1  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Dead Fish Hat on: June 07, 2010 08:23:00 PM
Hi all! So camping last year a lady was knitting one of those dead fish hats and I instantly fell in love! Seeing how my knitting is not up to that level yet I was searching the web and came across Crafty Mommas Blog with a crochet version(http://craftymomma-jflowers.blogspot.com/2009/12/crochet-fish-hat.html). So being super excited about it I decided that my 1yr old little man needs to have one! I used the Peruvian Print yarn from Red heart and loved the way it came out.....now on with the finished product

I will try to get an action shot in the AM

It was super easy and quick to do!! Now hopefully by the time it's cold enough to wear little man will like wearing hats again!!

Thanks for looking...c/c always welcome  Cheesy

Found this super sweet t-shirt while doing some thrifting and couldn't pass it up. It screamed for me to take it home and turn it into a bad a** halter top for the summer. Cheesy

Sorry for the messy craft room  Grin

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Toasty Warm Slouchy on: February 02, 2010 06:22:25 PM
Hi! Grin

So I thought I would have a go at making my own pattern for a slouchy hat and I think I did pretty good for the first time around. The hat is both crochet and knit. The crochet is the band and the back is knit on a knifty knitter, I used a double strand caron simply soft...... and it feels oh so soft and toasty! Anywhooo...onto the pics........

Thanks for looking!  Smiley
4  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Sugarland Purse on: December 14, 2009 01:29:59 PM
Hello, Hello!!!!

So we have a Secret Santa Gift Swap at work and the person I got loooveesss the band Sugarland. So I decided to make her a little purse with some Sugarland flare. I just winged the purse and made it up as I went along. I went on-line and found the artwork for one of their album covers and printed it onto fabric to make the front pocket. The inside is lined and between the inner and outer fabrics I used fleece to give it some body, and I also installed a zipper into the top of the purse. Now on to the pictures!

Comments and criticism are always welcome!!!!

6  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Skull and Cross Pins Jumper #2 on: July 30, 2009 08:18:18 PM
Sooo I posted something like this before but because little man came a month early it doesn't fit yet. This jumper is a new one made especially for meeting my BF grandma  Cheesy

I made this one using my by tracing one of his onsies and turned it into shorts because it was actually warm that day. By far one of my favorite outfits I have for him so far.

7  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Little Baby Dresses on: April 09, 2009 09:54:54 AM
So my cousin just had a little girl in January and on Sunday we are all heading for Disney. So I decided that I needed to make her some little dresses. My niece used to have a dress like this that my sister spent wwaaayy too much on but I loved it. So I sat and studied it for a bit and went to town making the dress and diaper cover. The dress was super easy, diaper cover a bit tricky but I figured it out!!

This one reminded me of Minnie Mouse and has already been picked to wear when we head into the Magic Kingdom

And these my cousin loves flowers and what little girl doesn't look super cute in bright flowered dresses!!

The straps on the original dress had just one tie on the strap but I modified it and decided to go for one on each side. For some reason I placed them so u can only see one, didn't even notice that till now!! Ha!!!!

Sorry for the babbling!! As always I love comments!!  Cheesy
