71  Chenille Baby Bibs in Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies by audrey1999 on: December 02, 2007 07:41:45 PM
I made these baby bibs today to give my brother for Christmas.  He is expecting his first child in May.  They are flannel and chenille.  They are both the same with one side green chenille and the other side patchwork star flannel.  Hope you enjoy!

I used this tutorial:  http://happythings.typepad.com/happythings/tutorials/index.html

72  Pastel drawings: a horse, a cow, decorative iron, and nude lady in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by audrey1999 on: November 07, 2007 04:44:52 PM
I found some old artwork in my files today that I thought I would share.
This first one is of a cow.  I like cows, and it has hung in my kitchen for a long, long time.

This is a study in shadows and highlights of a piece of decorative iron.

Wow!  A rider on a horse.  This was from a picture of me on my horse in highschool.  The horse is very similar to my horse back then, but I look atrocious.Sad

Developed from figure drawing class in college.

Thanks for looking!  Any comments are greatly appreciated. I am happy that I finally figured out this posting with pictures! Cheesy

73  Painting of Bella, my brother's blue heeler, for Christmas in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by audrey1999 on: November 06, 2007 07:08:27 PM
I painted this for my little brother (he is 28, but still little to me!) for his Christmas present.  He and his wife have three dogs and my plan is to paint a portrait of each.  It is painted in acrylics on canvas paper.  Let me know what you think!  I am new at posting pictures, so I apologize if two pictures appear. Smiley  I keep trying to post a picture between the image buttons but nothing is showing up, so here is a link.
Modified:  Thanks Jbear!  I think I have now figured out this posting thing...maybe.  I am glad you liked Bella.  Maybe now I can post other works!

74  Re: TUTORIAL copy of a taggie blanket in Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies by audrey1999 on: October 28, 2007 07:22:57 PM
I am glad I found this thread.  I am making gifts for my newly expecting brother and SIL and this tutorial is awesome.   I finished the first one so I am trying to upload the photo.  This is the first time I have posted a project, so forgive me if it doesn't work. Grin  It is 18" square with flannel, flannel backed satin (purple with stars), chenille (lt. green), satin and grosgrain ribbons.
