1  Re: E-gadget cover/case Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by riffsrevenge on: June 13, 2012 04:24:33 PM
Just received from my partner Sparks which is awesome cause I didn't know my partner had already sent and it was a happy happy surprise *does a little dance*.   This is hands down the not only best thing I have received in a swap, but also its sooo amazingly hand crafted that I have no idea how she made it.  Seriously, how did you make this?? It's amazing!  I hope there are other Dr. Who fans in this swap who will appreciate the theme:

This picture does not do this cover justice cause its all indented/textured/grooved.

My kindle is already in it and i'm never taking it out... i'll never get a case as cool as this.  Also now I'm gonna have to step in up in my finishing touches on Sparks cover cause it pales in comparison to this.. I'm tooottally impressed by this cover! *squeeeeee*

2  Re: The Amazing Hoodie Swap R12 Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by riffsrevenge on: December 07, 2011 05:03:10 PM
I received yesterday from my swap angel SpitZ09.  She created a bubble themed hoodie with my fraternity letters on them.

I was so super thrilled not only to finally receive a package but also to have it be as awesome and colorful as this is!!!!! Thanks again to my angel and our moderator for finding me a super cool angel.

My partner flaked on me, but not before I sent out this awesome hoodie.. or at least i think its awesome.  The theme I picked was owls.

I did the front simple:

And spent alot of time sewing the back.. I made all the patchwork except for the hearts as I have problems making hearts lol but I sewed the iron on hearts on:

let me know what you think!

I received from humboldtcherry and I cannot believe what awesome goodies i got!!!!

an awesome hippie hat!

two book marks (one was already given to a co worker because he kept dog earring his pages, and since i was raised by a librarian, I hate that), really really cool patches (did you make these?? cause that makes them even moooooree awesome.. need something to put them on.. maybe jeans), and a card wallet (the inside of the hippie hat was this fabric too and I reallly love it it reminds me of beatles yellow submarine for some reason)

peace sign shopping tote  Grin

really awesome purse with one strap, so its like a back pack... *squee* I love this.. its been my purse since i got it. I soooooo love it, also it really reminds me of a hookah bag cept my hookah is too big for it lolz  so a purse it must be

and finally.. my favorites together:

same purse pictured above and a sooo soo cool mushroom pouch, the outside lines are zippers!!!! My bf wanted to know if you made the mushroom or just the pouch and if you made the mushroom if you could show me how to make one...

Thankkkkkk yooooouuu I'm sorry that I posted these pictures soooo late after i got the package... i heart it soo much.  I also hope my package will arrive soon!

6  Re: Magic Yarn Ball Swap Round 12 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by riffsrevenge on: February 07, 2010 04:59:42 PM
I recieved from RyverChyld and finally mangage to get the pictures up!!! Here's my awesome package:

The yarn ball... well there were two but my camera deleted the good yarn ball pic and i didn't notice til i unwrapped them lol.. but you get the point!

Also not pictured is my beginners sock pattern, and a knitting magazine which I couldn't get good shots of. My yarn was verigated sock yarn in blue, red, white, brown and green... I've never worked off a pattern before but i really want to try making these now lol

First, my favorite things:

a machine embroidered piece saying "obsessed knitter" (i even love the bright yellow frame as it will match my room decor), and a crochted mushroom and cupcake

everything else! lol:

took me way too long to post these pictures! lol and there are a lot of them cause i'm bad at taking pictures of lots of things at once! From queenninjamonkey:

really cute gingrebread ornaments (unfortunately all but 3 broke but the surviving ones made it on the tree),  4 loofa soaps in two different scents (which my house mate already claimed two of), and bubble bath in a cute gingerbread man

tons of clay (which I never had crafted with but will now  Grin), cute note cards, a truffle bar, really cute sushi erasers (which i want to make into earings or something like that cause they are way too cute to use as erasers), and almond cookie brown sugar scrub (which has already started being used)

tons of candy at the bottom of my bag

book safe with measureing tape bracelets, knitting magazine, and mexican folk art coloring book

sugar skull scarf (which i wouldn't have been able to tell was a first time sewing project if you hadn't said anything), really cute sugar skull fabric *squee*

various jewlry and a jar of whimseys

magnets, jack skellington ornaments (which will be hung year round in my room), tacks, and a cupcake (my house mate wanted me to ask if this was hand made, and if so if you could tell us how cause we heart cupcakes in my household)

and my gift:

sally from the night mare before xmas wall hanging, also in this picture a really awesome mirror and a decoupage notebook

Yayy... here's my wrapped "stocking":

which is actually a really cute painted tote (I already have a stocking both at my mom's house and my apartment), its filled to the top, but i didn't want to pull anything out cause I didn't want to be tempted so If there is more awesome wrapping I'll post it in my next picture

Additional presents:

yes that is a cupcake container on the top *squee*  Thanks QueenninjaMonkey!!!  I'm totally gonna save it til I get home xmas night from my aunt's!
