1  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Little Fox on: October 05, 2015 12:02:18 PM
I made this little crochet stuffed fox for my daughter. When I was really young I remember watching a cartoon about a prince that visited other planets. Years later, I found out that was The Little Prince, and that it was based off a book. I instantly fell in love with the story. The Fox was my favorite character. I wanted to share that with my daughter, but she has a really short attention span involving books. I decided to make this little fox while she was at school. I hid it, and then told her there was a surprise for her if she could get through the story. I read the story to her, and when I finished the Fox part, I got up, and brought the fox to her. I told her that he wasn't tamed, and that she needed to tame him. So, now this little fox has his own bed next to hers, and she has been carrying him around everywhere. Hopefully, she will remember this when she is older  Grin

2  CROCHET / Amigurumi: Completed Projects / Totoro with Free Pattern on: September 25, 2015 11:17:06 AM
I crocheted this Totoro for a friend a while back. I didn't want to give him away, he was just so cute and squishy.

Here is the Free Pattern if you want to make one: https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B8JPov1M_1m8YUJvbU1qMHZMMG8/view?usp=sharing

3  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Jayne Cobb Inspired Crochet Hat (Free Pattern) on: September 23, 2015 05:01:25 AM
I wanted to show my Browncoat pride and make a Firefly hat, but since I also design patterns, I didn't want people thinking I was incapable of making a decent hat. Not everyone knows about Firefly/Serenity. Crazy, I know right! Since the original hat is Knit I had some playing around to do. I think I did a pretty good Fake Knit job Wink What do you think?

Here is a link to the Free Pattern  Grin:

4  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Blue Butterfly Headband on: September 22, 2015 05:57:57 AM
I wanted to try my hand at wearing fake dreads. So, of course I needed to make a Dreadband. The cool part is, it works for a regular headband too. Bonus!  Grin

If you like this comment and let me know. Craftster is one of the few places I can go to get encouragement. Most people can't tell the difference between Crochet and Knit, or appreciate the time that goes into a project. Yah, it is just a headband, but it took me hours to make and sew all the little pieces on.

Thanks for looking  Grin
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Winter Hat on: April 26, 2015 09:10:52 AM
This hat was a Christmas gift for my husband. I wanted to make him something warm, and not so outrageous. (I crochet a lot of fairy hats, not exactly something a guy would want to wear all the time Grin ) I had a friend point out that it kinda looks like a Minecraft creeper. That was unintentional, but a welcome bonus. My daughter and husband both play that game, so maybe it was in my subconscious. LOL

Thanks for looking  Grin
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Child's Pony Hood Scarf on: July 18, 2014 02:53:01 PM
My Daughter loves My Little Pony, so I decided to crochet her a Pony hood scarf to play in. She picked out all of the colors. She wanted to be her very own pony. I love that it makes her so happy. Just wanted to share  Grin

She loves to have her picture taken in case you couldn't tell Cheesy

7  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Winter Forest Hood on: July 14, 2014 02:32:41 PM
I was watching CW's Arrow and it inspired me to make this Hood. I just wanted to share Grin

8  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Bohemian Slouchy Hat with Brim on: March 01, 2014 07:39:23 AM
I just wanted to share this with you. I wanted a hat I could wear that would look nice inside. I live in Michigan and we have been hit with a lot of snow and negative temperatures. I don't always have time to do my hair so it is nice to just put a hat on and not get weird looks for not taking it off inside  Wink What do you think?

10  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Coffee Fairy Hat on: January 31, 2014 02:07:32 PM
I know it has been a long time since I posted anything. I just wanted to share my newest creation with you  Grin

The Coffee Fairy Hat. Yah I know it is a weird name, but hey I was tired and wanted coffee Cheesy

I also made some "How to Crochet" videos. I know if you are here then you probably already know how to crochet, but you might have some friends who want to learn Wink I started making the videos for my daughter, that way she can keep watching the parts she doesn't get. It seemed like a good idea. http://www.youtube.com/user/aprildraven/videos
