Absolutly love all of this...especially that pin stripe skirt and the cat ear jacket!  Can't wait for the tutorial for the dress form...I am in the need of a new one, and would love to make my own.

Will be watching this closely.

3  Halloween / Halloween Costumes / Moulin Rouge Can Can costume/alice themed on: July 17, 2010 07:53:26 AM
I am wanting to make an Alice in wonderland themed can can costume.  My boyfriend and I are planning a "Musicals" themed halloween party.  I have quite a few pictures of ideas for the Alice side of the costume, however, I want to make it into a can can outfit alla Moulin Rouge.  I know to do a double circle skirt, however, I am needing help figuring out the way to do the underskirt ruffles.  My question is this, do I do the over skirt and an underskirt with ruffles separately, or do I attach said ruffles to the underside of the over skirt?  I am thinking a double layer with the ruffles on the underside of the underskirt.

Any help would be appreciated.

5  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Doll Clothes American Girl Doll on: July 10, 2010 01:35:41 PM
It is beautiful..and a steal.  My girls saved up to purchase new dolls....so you definantly got a great deal.  You can contact the American Girl company and they can refurbish the doll back to original hair if needs be.

6  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Discussion and Questions / Loaded charm bracelet charms on: April 01, 2010 08:23:06 AM
I was wondering where to find the charms for making loaded charm bracelets...I have a fire mountain gems catalog on order, but would like some suggestions for other places to check out for the supplies to make these beautiful bracelets.

7  ORGANIZED CRAFT SWAPS / New Swap Theme Ideas / PhotoProp Swap on: September 16, 2009 05:28:14 AM
I know there are many photographers on here...so this may be a good swap.

A photo prop swap.  Creative things to be used in portraits (example...fake apples, acrylic ice...etc).  These would be things you could either make, de-stash, and purchase, and would be seasonal themed.  This could also include instructions on how to make larger props i.e. walls, faux water, mushrooms, rocks, etc.

If interested, please post and I will organize the swap.

8  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / Re: Flower Brooch made entirely of pistachio shells! - REPOST- MORE PICTURES!! on: September 16, 2009 05:23:43 AM

9  MORE ART, LESS CRAFT / More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works / Re: 3 New Paintings on: August 12, 2009 04:03:55 AM
Those are great!!.  I especially like the feet shot.  I know how hard it is to do a face on foot shot...foreshortaned things are hard to draw/paint.

You did an excellent job!!

10  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Discussion and Questions / Needle sculpting dolls feet on: August 11, 2009 10:25:22 AM
I have looked everwhere for tips/tricks to needle sculpting realistic looking dolls feet...with toes, ankles, etc.

Does anyone have any tips/hints, or tutorials on doing this (mainly separated toes/big toe, toenails, etc)?

I would appreciate any advice that I could get.

Thank you
