1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / "breaking in" a shirt? on: December 04, 2005 04:19:00 PM
i've got a t-shirt that i'd love to wear allll the time, but, it's made of that obnoxious heavy cotton that doesn't breathe and barely stretches, and it's just too uncomfortable to wear.
does anyone have any tips on how i can break in this shirt?  i have two other shirts made of the same stuff that a friend gave me, that he had for years, and those are soft and much more wearable.  the only thing i've really done is use lots of fabric softener, but it didnt seem to make a difference.  i've been tossing it in with the wash each time for a few months now and it still hasn't softened up.
am i just out of luck?  do i just keep at washing it over and over and over again?   i'd love to be able to wear this shirt, it's bright green w/ a one-up mushroom on it Tongue

i made my first journal from a hardback book last night!  the coptic stitch was a lot simpler than i expected ^_^

i used this little ex-pop-up book that i saved from the trash at my aunt's house.  (all the pop-up thingies had been torn out by angsty toddlers)

and a couple more pics...

i love it!
i plan on making this one into my "song lyric sketchbook" next Tongue

4  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / sonic/knuckles and tails shrinky-dink charms ^__^ on: August 14, 2005 07:33:00 PM
now, dont get me wrong, i LOOOVE seeing all these old nintendo crafts around here, but, when i was little, i was way more into sega than nintendo.  SO, i decided to sport a couple of sonic the hedgehog charms to show my love!

5  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Completed Projects / cute 80's themed lighters :P on: July 28, 2005 08:00:29 PM
these may not be the craftiest thing ever but they're cuuute and i love em ^__^

i decided to make my lighters stand out a bit more and decorated them!

the care bears are stickers and i printed out the mushrooms and just stuck them all on.  after i was happy with the placement i covered it with tape, just to keep it from coming off.  it's not the most graceful way of sealing it, but hey, it'll do Tongue
6  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / cat food cans? on: June 22, 2005 11:00:47 AM
i throw out about 3 small cat food cans every day, and was thinking yesterday, "why aren't i using these for something?"

they're the fancy feast cans.  here's a pic Cheesy

i was thinking i could at least do something organizational with them.  im a mess without my little boxes and bottles to put things in lol
