Prompt:  September - Scrabble
Team: Wordy!
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Frankenstein Bag
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description:  I tried to get as many "Frankenstein" s in there as possible. This fabric has a lot of text on it so I thought it was prefect for this prompt.
Project Picture:

Prompt:  October - Hocus Pocus
Team: Wordy!
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Aesop's Clock
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: Aesop's Fables has a lot of myths built into them. I used the book as the base to make my Mom a clock. It will be one of her Christmas gifts. I like the way the fox is looking up at the clock hands. I am not sure if I am going to paint he hands though. They don't seem like they show up well enough for me, but in certain lights they do...
Project Picture:

Prompt: October - Graveyard Shift
Team: Wordy!
Bonus Points:
Project Name: Bacon Pillowcase
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: Obviously pillows are used to sleep with.  Wink I made this for my step-son. He is 11 and loves everything "bacon". He is also at that stage where he wants to be grown and not have kiddy stuff so I put the bacon as the accent strip instead of the whole pillowcase. I thought the black made it look more manly.

233  Luna the Lady in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by gozer on: September 23, 2014 07:10:22 AM

This was done for Suereal in the IYP swap. I also did her other dog Cosmo as a gentleman.
This one is Luna the Lady. She wanted her dog to be anthropomorphic Steampunk characters. I think Luna has some sass.  Smiley I cut her out and raised her from the background for a more dimensional effect. I have never done someone's animal before so I was intimidated. Much less switch them around so much. I really hope she likes them. I sent them to her parents home so she hasn't seen them up close yet.

 Thanks for looking! Grin

234  Cosmo the Gentleman in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by gozer on: September 23, 2014 07:06:04 AM

I made this piece for Suereal in the IYP swap. She asked for her dogs in an anthropomorphic style as Steampunk people. I have never done anything like this before so I was really intimidated to even try it but I think it turned out neat. I hope she likes them. They were sent to her parents house so she hasn't actually seem them close up yet.
I cut them out and posted them on the background to give them a bit of depth. They were done in Copic markers. Cosmo was in warm gray and the rest in a neutral gray.

 Thanks for looking!

I have had rougher than most last month. Bunny1kenobi has been a rock for me. Listening to me and being there for me. There is no way I could thank her enough and then she send s me the most amazing package! She truly is an awesome person.  Grin
She knows I have been wanting to decorate and fancy up my bathroom. I decided on squids, octopus and mermaids. I had a shelf and needed stuff to put on it. She gave me a GREAT start on that! Check out this awesome bottle! It is so cool! Love the ostrich feather and it's so fancy with the pearls!

She sent me a TON of extras. She claims they are for my b-day and early Christmas and IYP.  Tongue  so, I got some SUPER warm and cute gloves. Kick butt ninja cookie cutters. Super cute holiday contact cases (where did you find those? LOL!). I am a huge reader and she sent me a book she loves, The Night Circus. I have been wanting to read that! And for those lack of energy days, ZipFizz. I wish I would have taken that with me to work today. Ha! She also made me a beautiful card.

She crafted me a beautiful (and heavy) tin full of amazing jewelry! I love stud type earrings and she made me some super cute octopus ones! Then got me a tiny lock and key set. There is a gra (my fave color) magnetic bracelet and an adorable kitty cat one!

here is a close up of that adorable kitty!

And I FINALLY got some of her super cool lip balms! I am so jealous every time someone gets these from her! LOL! Now I have my own and they are perfect! From R-L. Girl & Kitty, Mermaid & Sailor, Red Riding Hood, and Gizmo. Couldn't get better! Perfect pics!

This one got turned side ways..  Undecided  It's a magnetic to do list with mushrooms & a cute dragonfly. I have already started using this.  Grin

These are super comfy and warm PJ's in HALLOWEEN fabric, how perfect?

The weather is dropping fast here in VA. I complain about it often. Sorry Bunny, I know you have to be tired hearing about it. You should only have about 5 more months left.  Tongue But this cute candy corn (also my favorite candy, been chopping on it tonight) hat. I will wear this bad boy out! As will my Monster high doll with her new top hat!

And last but not least, this "E Ho Creato" shirt this is not only hilarious but makes my boobs look bigger. Great job Bunny!
Again, thank you so much. You really overdid it. I love everything!!!!!!!

238  Oh Deer! Pot holder in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by gozer on: September 09, 2014 10:55:04 AM
I made this a bit ago but never posted it. It was for Kwality570 for the Woodland Creature and Enchanted Forest Swap.
I bought a pattern and then completely reworked it. Originally it was for a cute fox. I still plan on making it for myself, but projects for myself always seem to never materialize.  Tongue
I switched it around and worked it into a little deer. It has the heat resistant interfacing (I forget what it's called but it has the silver crunchy stuff in it) so that you won't get burnt when you use it. I thought it turned out cute.

239  Owl Purse & Coin Purse in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by gozer on: September 09, 2014 10:48:30 AM
I haven't posted up in a while and realized I hadn't added this guy up yet! I made him for Kwality570 for the Woodland Creature and Enchanted Forest Swap. I had a lot of fun making the owl purse. I didn't use a pattern and it was one of my first real attempts at machine embroidering one piece of fabric over another.
The strap is adjustable. Ever since I figured out how to do that I love it. Nothing is worse that a purse with a strap that is a hair to short or long.  Tongue

I also made a coin purse to go with it but not be too matchy.  Wink

Thanks for checking them out! Grin

Sorry I haven't been on here lately. Lots, lots, lots going on at home.  Embarrassed
BUT I did receive the most amazing package from Suereal. It really made my day. You will never know. The timing of such awesomeness was nothing less than brilliant.   Wink
I was so excited and actually squealed several times while opening this box. Now I have serious swap anxiety over hers.
Without further ado, here is her amazing work!

This fantastic Red Riding Hood doll. It's actually moveable! Check out the teeth and eyes! AMAZING!!!

Then these terrific hot air balloons light bulbs! I absolutely adore these! I want to hang a bunch of these up in my craftroom to add whimsy without taking up space (it's kind of small). Thank you so much!!!! LOVE them!

This one has a little elephant rider. All the riders are interchangeable too!
and here is glowing in the dark, yeah. Cool.

The Cloud one. Look at all the detail with the little stars and all. Love the grass in the bucket too. Oh, and my outdoor kitty made it in the shot.  Tongue

Next up is this manly man one. LOL! The balloon is all glittery red. So funny and awesome!!!

And last but not least my FAVORITE item. All the detail and amazingness. It's insane! A goldfish hot air balloon. In my mind he is a magical flying fish.  Grin

Here is a close up of his amazingness.

and I got spoiled with lots of extras too!

Candy (Canadian I believe), a cool key knife, Skull thumb tacks, and a KINDER EGG!!! I grew up in Germany and we always got these! Thank you so much!!!
Everything was beyond expectation. Loved everything SO much. I can't wait to hang up my air balloons!!!!! Thank you Suereal. You absolutely ROCKED this!!!!!
