111  Love and Decay - Parker Brothers teeshirt in Stenciling: Completed Projects by gozer on: June 27, 2016 01:30:00 PM
I have been reading a series for a while now. It's not like a normal series of books. It's a Kindle series that comes out every other week for about four months of the year. The name of the series is Love and Decay. I've been reading it for about four years now and absolutely love them. They are quick, fun novellas that I get to enjoy while sitting in my car at lunch.
In the Favorite Book Swap I got paired with Abbeeroad who also read and enjoyed the series. I think she just finished season 1. The book is about the zombie apocalypse and a girl, Reagan, who end up traveling with a group of brothers with the last name Parker.
I'm using the pic Abbeeroad took since it is better than mine.  Wink

I have to make one for myself next.

112  Re: My Favorite Book Swap Gallery! in The Swap Gallery by gozer on: June 27, 2016 05:45:44 AM
I received the most awesome package from Abbeeroad on Friday. I ended up going out of town so I had to wait until today to post up. Sorry for the delay in showing you guys but you will not be disappointed. I am so pleased with all the items its hard to chose a favorite!
First up is this fantastic tote. She got the hand stamped fabric from EdelC in the STS and it works perfectly for this. I absolutely love it and I used it to pack my overnight back in.  Wink  How's that for perfect timing! Oh! Almost forgot, the feathers represent Ravens from The Raven Boys. A great series I just finished up.

Then I opened this amazing bracelet. I LOVE these bracelets and I love that is says READ. Perfection! And she also sent a cute little bookmark. Abbeeroad knows I collect bookmarks. This one is great. Parts of the arm dangle from either end. LOL! I will use it on my next zombie book (which I read a bunch of so it won't be long).

And last but not least.... This phenomenal hoop! This is my favorite. It is perfect is SO many ways. It's a quote from my favorite character in a series I have been reading for the last four years, Love and Decay. It comes out in episodes once a week. It's so much fun to read that way. It's like TV almost, only better. Vaughn is my favorite. The rose was the cover for the first season.
This Rocks on so many levels! I squealed when I saw it. It sort of shimmers but I couldn't get that to show in the pic. Sorry, we have had nothing but stormy weather for the last two weeks and more this week.

Thank you so much Abbeeroad. This swap was fantastic. I am so glad we partnered together! Thank you SO MUCH!!!!!

113  Halloween Door Hanger in Halloween Decor and Parties by gozer on: June 14, 2016 02:01:49 PM
This may seem random to make in June but I made it for a friends b-day. She had it on her Pinterest Board and I figured I can make that!  Cheesy

I switched it up a little from the Pin and made the spider at the bottom so it looked like they were hanging off his web, at least to me. I used ribbon to secure it and a staple gun to keep it all in place. The ribbon is eyeball Halloween ribbon from my stash.  It's made to hang on a door instead of a wreath.
Thanks for checking it out so far from Halloween!

114  Egon in the Garden in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by gozer on: June 14, 2016 01:55:09 PM
This is a happy little painting of my happy little kitty Egon. That is the expression he always has. He is such a content and happy little man. I made this piece for the Wall Art Swap. I drew him out them outlines him with glue so there was a distinct boarder. Then I painted the background. After it dried I glued swirls on it and painted those for some added texture. The butterfly is some chipboard piece I got a long time ago and found in my stash. The painting is a light brighter in person but I couldn't get a good pic of it.
Thanks for checking it out.  Cheesy

115  First attempt at Steampunk Canvas in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by gozer on: June 14, 2016 01:51:39 PM
This was my first attempt at doing any sort of Steampunk type canvas art. I made this for the Wall Art Swap. I had most of the embellishments on hand. I had no idea I had that many sprockets but I did.  Tongue  I made the book page roses a while ago for another project that never happened and was happy to have a place to use them. I'm still undecided on the piece as a whole but my partner seemed to like it so I was happy.
Thanks for checking it out.  Smiley

116  Gold Steampunk Canvas in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by gozer on: June 14, 2016 01:47:29 PM
I recently tried my hand at creating some steampunk canvases. This one is smaller (about 12x5 ish). I used what I had on hand and just tried to have fun with it. I have a fear of embellishing since I am not really that good at it. I'm trying to learn. I used acrylic paint, splatter paint, liquid ink, and lots of adhesive.  Tongue

 Thanks for checking it out.

Hey Everyone! I got my Angel package from Greybird and it was absolutely amazing!!!! Apparently it sat on my entry wall table for a couple of days. My Mom stopped by and brought it in because she thought it was going to rain and I thought it was an Amazon package I ordered. Oops! Sorry again for the delay Greybird. You have been amazing throughout this and you sent an incredible package. I truly appreciate it!
 So, without further ado....
Here's the package all together.  Grin  It goes with The Raven Boys. A book series that I am pretty much obsessed with right now.

Now close ups of the incredible Aglionby book she sent. All the boys go to this school in the book. I also love to list and take notes to this is perfect!

I also asked for business cards. For some reason I think they are so neat. Greybird did an amazing job. I am going to put the Ray's on my Ghostbuster shelf. Along with those she sent a cool bookmark. I collect bookmarks to this rocks!!! It says "The trees speak Latin" in Latin. It's from the book.  Wink

and last but definitely not least, this phenomenal charm bracelet!!! It has all sorts of Raven Boys references. Each of the characters first initials, tarot cards, bees, ravens, dreams, a Kings crown, the tree in her backyard. So many great references!

Thank you so much greybird. You did an incredible job and I truly appreciate it!! Thank you so much!!!

Project Name: Steampunk Wall Art
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: I made this piece for the Wall Art Swap. My partner wanted eclectic and steampunk and she likes blue and purple. I tried to incorporate those into this artwork. It was my first time really attempting anything like this. I had made the book flowers for another project that fell thru and thought they would do well on here. Everything except the smaller butterflies were from my stash and everything is pretty much cobbled together like Frankenstein.

I think they are turning out well for a stash project. This one is Red, White and Blue like Capt. America. The picture doesn't look very blue but it is. I promise!

120  Re: Wall Art Swap Spring 2016 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by gozer on: May 19, 2016 06:15:15 AM
I hope you like him GeekGirl1000100, that is my kitty Egon. He is always so happy and innocent looking even though he is a little trickster.

I received both of my packages last night! I was so excited when I got home from work and saw the packages waiting for me. I was not disappointed! Grin

First up, GeekGirl1000100 sent me this amazing cat painting of her own. I love all the detail and I love the paint splatter. Oddly enough that was one of my goals to do in this swap, paint splatter, since I like it so much! The cat is absolutely beautiful. Very elegant! I have a junk room I am turning into a guest/cats room and this is going to go in there. It's blue themed and fits perfectly! I love the swirls on the cat too. Amazing work. I love it!

She also sent along this beautiful field painting. Love the style!

 Next up is PromisedHeartBrk.
She sent me TWO amazing pieces of art! I love Red Riding Hood and my living room is RRH themed. I also have a wall o' whimsy in my kitchen and she found the perfect way to segway the two! She sent me the most amazing Red artwork. Sorry it was so hard to get a pic of without a reflection. PLEASE post up a better pic if you have one. All the details sort of get lost here and that is such a shame. It's truly amazing.

and it goes along with the cottage. Here I got a better shot of all the details. See the writing in the background and the text on the trees? Stunning.

I put them on my wall so that they go together. The path kind of continues to the other. I will fill in the gaps with other random whimsies.  Cheesy

PS. That dapper rabbit is from the talented Kwality570Wink
And she included this small Amish plaque. It will be add to the wall as well. She didn't know this but my family teases me and calls me Amish because I am so... cheap, frugal. Frugal is a better word. LOL!

Thank you so much! I loved everything and had such a great time in this swap.
