Project Name: Octopurse
Project Link: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=454718.0
Brief Description: I LOVE making purses. Its one of my favorite things to do. I saw this fabric and HAD to make myself a purse out of it. It has two of my favorite things, Octopus and Stars! This is also going to be my Hunt item for something with eyes.

Project Name: Dog Print Unpaper Towels
Project Link: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=454518.0
Brief Description: This project didnt have a pattern. I had to measure the fabric out. I wanted them the size of a regular paper towel so I had to take into account seams allowance as well. These are unpaper towels along with smaller reusable scrubbies. They will be available in the Fall STS.

Project Name: Green Crystal Necklaces
Project Link: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=454517.0
Brief Description: I think these necklaces have a fantasy type look with the crystals. I made them in a separate batch than the pink since I was using alcohol inks to color the crystals.

Project Name: Horror Movie Poster Purse (AKA Scary Carry)
Project Link: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=454717.0
Brief Description: Show me a bigger trope than the girl screaming and running in a horror movie. LOL! That is pictured here on the movie poster. You can see it in the blue poster. Also, you can see a girl screaming while in a silly pose on the open pic in pink too. So cheesy! Ha! I made this purse because the shaped looked interesting but it wasnt really my type of purse when it was done. I prefer a sturdier one. I know people love hobo type bags but I just cant do them. So this will be offered up in the Fall STS. Also, this will be Team Wordys Hunt for something that Rhymes.

Project Name: Cacti & Alligator
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: I kill every plant that comes near me. Unfortunately for them I bought a house with a huge Japanese garden. The only plant I have managed to keep alive is my cacti and it looked like it was headed south so I repotted him. This is my first time ever repotting one. I hope I did it right. I used cactus soil and everything. This will be the Hunt for something sticky. Also, I added some funny stepping stones around my front entry. I did it right (hopefully) with the two step leveling sands. My front yard has too much shade for grass so this guy should stay visible.

Roler Is your little piggy a magnet? No matter what, he is a cutie.

Storerboughtcreations How big is the coffee sign? I love the design. It took me a second to realize it said coffee. Ha! The STOP sign as a door hanger is the ultimate anti-welcome sign. Hilarious! Ollie is so cute. I want to kiss his face and snuggle him. He is so beautiful! Love those long whiskers. The desert sunsets are beautiful. Im having a hard time picking my favorite. Its between the top right corner and the 1st one on the second row (right below your favorite). They are all fantastic though.

And for my Pi Day mini challenge, here I am eating a pie. I am so happy that I have hair now that I don't even care how dorky I look. LOL! I was trying to diet since I gain a bunch of weight on chemo but I took one for the team and ate the pie.  Tongue

For the Stephen Hawking challenge can I post up about my favorite element? It does say etc.  Wink  My favorite element is Element 115, Moscovium or Mc. Robert Lazar, who allegedly worked at Area 51, knew of it's properties and said it was used to fuel spaceships ten years before it was even known to exist. It also has a lot of lore in Science Fiction.

Project Name: Lucky Penny Necklaces
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: I think March is the month for luck with all the Luck of the Irish and four leaf clover items I see. I was inspired to make these Lucky Penny necklaces with pennies that would have otherwise been thrown away. I don't really use cash anymore and I can't remember the last time I used a penny. For that reason I am using these as my Hunt for something Recycled. I added crystal charms to three of them for a little pizzazz. They remind me of Scrooge McDucks Lucky Dime.

14  Un-Paper Towels! in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by gozer on: March 21, 2018 11:24:18 AM
I have been sick for a little while and wanted to do a more simple project to ease me back into sewing. My friend Bunny1Kenobi assured me sewing was like riding a bike. That made me think it would make me feel old, fat, and probably hurt more than I remembered.  Roll Eyes  So I decided to make some un-paper towels. They seemed simple enough and I am crazy for a useful crafting project.
I made two sets. I plan on having these available in the Fall 2018 STS. I missed the Spring swap by only a few days due to surgery so I'm determined not to miss the next one!
The tops of these are made with flannel which I thought would be more absorbent than plain cotton fabric. The backs are terry cloth. I purchased and cut it instead of buying wash clothes. The snap together with Kam snaps.
I also saw on-line that people were making little scrubbies in the same way to take the place of sponges. You can just throw them in the dishwasher or washing machine as well.

The first set I chose a tie dye top fabric so stains wouldn't be as obvious. I love the fun vibrant colors. This one has 6 up-paper towels and 3 scrubbies.

The second set I did I made in paw prints. If it doesn't "sell" in the swap I will give these to my sister for Christmas. This set has 7 towels and 3 scrubbies. I was a little better at cutting out the squares this time around so I got an extra towel out of the yardage.

Now I need to make myself a set. Cheesy

15  Crystal Necklaces in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by gozer on: March 21, 2018 11:09:05 AM
I saw necklaces like these on Etsy and loved them. They were about $30 each though and I am cheap by nature. Tongue  I decided to figure out a way to make them myself.

My first set turned out really pretty but when I glued the bases to the globe they fogged up inside. I ended up finding some glue that worked and didn't fog them up but then I had to hold them closed forever to seal them. Still, I think they turned out cute and I am happy with them.
I made them in three different colors; pink, purple, and green crystals. I need to find more items that will fit in these globes. They have a straight spot at the bottom where the globe attaches so you have to raise whatever you put inside up a tad to avoid a weird distortion and so it can be seem clearly. I also added little crystal charms to the tops for some flare.

 Thanks for checking them out!

Project Name: Lip Balm Redo
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description:  I ordered a bunch of lip balm overruns and took off the labels and relabeled them to give my friends & family for Easter. There are two girls with bunnies (for my sister), the middle one is mine (my fav artist), then a cat for my Mom, and a unicorn for a friend at work. I relabeled these using paper! This will also be my Hunt for something that smells. Since I got the overflows they came in random flavors. They are Cherry vanilla, mint (the black ones), and vanilla.

Project Name: Pink Crystal Necklace
Project Link: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=454517.0
Brief Description: I sent this necklace to EdelC since we are both fighting breast cancer right now. Its PINK. I also sent one to Bunny1Kenobi for Christmas so that makes these personal swaps. I saw these on Etsy and really, really wanted one but they were so expensive so I figured out how to make my own. Also, this will be my Hunt for something that ROLLS. These globes will roll right off the table if you give them a chance! Cheesy  Also, I made these in preparation for the Fall STS. I hope they are liked there.  Wink

Prompt: March Cooking vs Baking
Team: Wordy!!
Bonus Points: Community, Swaptastic
Project Name: UnPaper Towels
Project Link: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=454518.0
Brief Description: I dont bake or cook or any of that stuff. I eat out of the microwave if I cook. I do love to eat all the stuff that is cooked or baked. After all that is done the clean up begins. These are great for cleaning up messes that come from preparing food. They are reusable and washable. There are a total of six of the un-paper towels. The small squares in front are the size of sponges and can be used as little scrubbies when your washing up the dishes. Saves on garbage in landfills and they are fun to make. Im going to list this as the Hunt for something that gets wet. These will also be in my STS Fall store. I missed this round by just a few days.

Due to unforeseen health issues I will not be able to participate in the STS this year. I made this fold-over wristlet purse for that swap but since I won't be joining I decided to add it to the pile of Raffle Prizes this round.  Wink  Hopefully it will find a good home.

19  Re: Necklace Swap 2017 GALLERY (Sendouts Aug. 14) in The Swap Gallery by gozer on: August 18, 2017 12:26:06 PM
I received both of my necklaces and they are fantastic!
First one that came in was from Patty_o_furniture. We had chatted a little and I talked about cats with her. My Mom just got a cat and named her Patty.  Cheesy  She sent me this beautifully beaded necklace. Its absolutely amazing with all the tiny beads! it was really long and had a cool bead at the end which I included in my shot.

Then I received from the wonderful Whatthepuck. We also chatted a bit but I don't think I mentioned how much I love stars. This is absolutely beautiful. I love the color of the teal bead too. So very pretty. Love it so much! It's absolutely perfect for me.

Brief Description: At the beginning of the month I got terrible news about my beloved Gozer. He has been in kidney failure for three years now and it got worse. He is on new meds now and fluids. I decided to make a salt dough impression of his paw and then I put it inside a necklace pendant. Gozer being sick is sad and all my tears and the dough are salty.

Brief Description: As if my post couldn't be more depressing, my moms cat was put to sleep on Monday. His name was Spooky and he was 20 years old. I went over to spend some time with him and did a salt dough impression of his paw too. His is the one to the left. The other two are Gozers. The really small on is where I tried to press it on his foot, the better one is where I had him stand on it. That worked better.
