Prompt: January - Series
Team: Wordy
Bonus Points: Timely
Project Name: Paw Print Bowl Cozies
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: Bunny1kenobi mentioned a bit ago that she needed to make some bowl cozies for herself and I told her I would make her some for Christmas. These are what I made her. Her kitchen is done in black and red and I know she loves her pups. I thought this pattern would be great for her. Don't know if you can see it or not but it's red fabric with black paw prints on it. I made three. All the same so they are a series. Wink  She should be getting them today. I got a request for a few of these at work so there will be more to come. It's the perfect season for making these!

Project Name: Girl in Blue Shirt
Project Link: Coming Soon
Brief Description: Sometimes when my friends and I go out to eat we will draw on the napkins and leave them. My friend is a lot more talented than I am so it's a treat for the waiters. This is more in depth than what we would leave on a napkin but I doubted those little doodles would add up to the post requirement. Either way, this is a little drawing to commemorate the gesture. I am also doing a challenge to make one drawing a week. I will post this once I get a couple more done so that I am not junking up the More Art, Les Craft Board with a sketch a week. I plan to put a month at a time on there (or something about that). Included is the line drawing.

Project Name: Bees
Project Link: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=457005.0
Brief Description: I always hear about how the bees are going extinct and how that is going to effect the future. I wish we could save them. Hence the bees in the picture. Pretty sure this qualifies as a WIP since I did the original sketch January 13th of 2018.

Project Name: Read Necklace
Project Link: N/A
Brief Description: I made this for the Winter Book Swap. I combined fabric with metal for a necklace. I don't normally use any sort of fabric when I am constructing a necklace so this was different for me. I dyed the canvas with alcohol inks to get the rich colors that I wanted. For my Alphabet this will be "R" & "E".

Project Name: Read Necklace

Brief Description: This was my first attempt for the necklace in the swap. I wasn't too happy with the results so I tried again and liked the second one (above) much, much better. This one didn't get sent. I may wear it or find something else to do with it. For my Alphabet this will be "A" & "D".

14  Girl With Bees in More Art, Less Craft: Completed Works by gozer on: January 02, 2019 10:18:52 AM

This year, like the last three years, I have decided I want to draw more. I bought new notebooks and markers and supplies for the last two years and didn't accomplish anything. This year I just grabbed one of my old notebooks and decided to fill it up. My goal is to draw one thing a week. Take some me time to relax and draw.
This is my start. I really hope that with work and everything else in my life I can keep this up. I would love to see how my artwork evolved and improved after doing it consistently for a year. I have a long way to go and a lot to learn but I really do enjoy drawing. This one is about 5.5" x 8". It's done with Copic markers. Not all of my drawings will be full renderings but I hope to get a good number done.
Thanks for checking it out. Hopefully, fingers crossed, I will be adding a lot more on this board and improving a bunch.  Grin
Oh, almost forgot. Here is my original sketch I did back on January 13th of 2018. You know, the last time I said I was going to draw more.  Tongue

That bookmark is hilarious and awesome!

Got my wonderful package from Leapfeetfirst yesterday. I was blown away. She truly outdid herself!
I had to laugh because I made the comment about loving that ChameleonHound wrapped her stuff in fabric and mine was too! See how pretty it looked!

I am going to use those fabrics. They were so beautiful. Did you hand stamp some of them LeapFeetFirst? They are amazing. I have so many ideas on what to make with them. Very inspiring and beautiful!

She also sent me these wonderful bookmarks. I collect bookmarks and these are fantastic. They are made with handspun yarn and monoprinted paper that she also made. They have an amazing texture. I love them! I can't express how cool they are in your hand.

She also sent FOUR books. Yes, I was majorly spoiled. I have never read anything by Neil Gaiman so I am excited to try that out. Also, I have been dying to read Sometimes I Lie for a while now! So excited to get that one. She said Strange the Dreamer was her favorite book of the year so it has to be a good pick. And Vampire Academy because I am a sucker (get it) for easy teen reads!

Last but not least. Some super yummy chocolate!

Thank you so much! This was such a fun swap. I can't wait for the Christmas break so I can hibernate and read all day!

16  Swoon Carter Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by gozer on: October 23, 2018 06:30:08 AM
This is Octobers Bag for the Carried Away Bag of the Month Club. This pattern is by Swoon patterns. I am a real fan of her designs. I was nervous to start this one because it called for rivets, which I had never done. They looked so intimidating but were actually quite easy! I was so surprised. The club is really pushing me out of my comfort zone and making me try new techniques. I am loving it! The push locks were new for me too.
For this bag I didn't use my normal focus type fabrics and went with Tim Holtz Eclectic instead. I had to have the fabric when I saw it at my local store but had no idea what I would use it for. I think it went well with this pattern. I put the "R" in the front since that is my initial, so I did fussy cut.  Cheesy
Also that is Egon acting as my model/muse. He loves to watch me sew.

Front of bag

Back of bag

Inside is divided by a zippered pocket.

 Thanks for checking it out!

Prompt: Big Time #2
Team: Wordy!!
Bonus Points: Brain Power, Community
Project Name: Carter Eclectic Bag
Project Link: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=456287.0
Brief Description:  This is my second Big Time and another purse from my Bag of the Month Club. This months was designed my Swoon patterns and is called the Carter. I altered the pattern a little. It called for straps that go all the way down the front and then you had to slide them into holders. I knew I would never do that and my straps would end up curled and mangled so I stopped them where the purse flap ended. The inside has divided compartments with a zippered pocket between them. This was my first time using the push locks and doing rivets. Rivets seemed so scary but they were actually easy. I am really glad I gave it a try! PS. That is my adorable Egon in the pic. He insisted.  Wink

18  Re: Artist Trading Coins - Round 1 in The Swap Gallery by gozer on: October 18, 2018 08:59:30 AM
So here is the story about how JoyfulClover and I ended up swapping coins. I was sent her information and even though I only asked for two partners I knew Geekgirl1000100 had a rough time at the start of the swap so I just went with it. I never checked the partners list or said anything.  Tongue When she got my cards she started to panic thinking she missed that she was supposed to make for me. That's when I figured out that I actually only had two partners. LOL! She was super awesome and volunteered to make me a set of cards and I am so glad she did! Look at what I got!
First up we have the oddball twins, Andy & Ollie. Of course they share a card. They can't be separated! And since I love cats, one of Gayle's lovely!

Since Louise is my favorite character, these two are my favorite side characters (plus Logan) because I know it will be a Louise episode. My favorite is Millie. She cracks me up! This one is from my all time favorite episode, "Silence of the Louise"!!! JoyfulClover did an amazing job on capturing her spirit. Boo-Boo looks rockstar awesome as well!

Thank you so much. You picked such perfect characters! I love them!!!!

I got these coins from Geekgirl1000100 over the weekend. Sorry for the delay in posting. My work computer is so much faster but I have so much work lately. Lol! Then the pictures I took were fuzzy. I think these turned out well.
Her coins are amazing! We got another Bob's Burgers contribution. Louise is my favorite and I love this card. Then a crafting card with 3-D scissors that are exactly the right size. It was like they were made for an ATC Coin! And the final, and my favorite, the beautiful cat looking into the cosmos.

She also included a cool set of Ghostbusters cards. Here are a couple of the cards to show the artwork on them. They are really cool!

Thank you so much! I loved everything. And a special thank you for hosting! I hope there is another round in the future.  Grin
