1  Re: Personal/Private Swap Gallery, 2019 in The Swap Gallery by gozer on: March 08, 2019 10:26:33 AM
I also used Inktense Pencils and they say they are permanent once set. I set them! Fingers Crossed. They may fade some but shouldn't fade a bunch.

It took me entirely too long to get these posted. My life has been a hectic one lately. But here goes. Now you can see the epic-ness of what JoyfulClover gave to me!

She drown me in awesome teas in the best possible way ever! I just started drink tea and these are amazing. They are so fancy too. I feel all special when I drink them. The flavors are amazing. And the honey spoons! Are you kidding me?! Extra yummy and so much fun. There were more in the package but I had to grab a shot while some were left. The Salted Caramel Hot Chocolate was devine. I have to admit, that is an empty container there. It has been cold and the hot chocolate was so yummy. LOL! I haven't eaten the gummy candies yet. One set is vegan so I am curious. Cheesy  I bet they are amazing. Then we have the fizzy candies that are just to pretty to eat! They have lots of sugar crystal on them so I know I will love them.

And since we agreed on a mug rug and a mug, she got me two mugs and a cup. All SUPER cool! First is a Ghostbusters 2 cup from the theater when it came out. Vintage and in perfect condition. It even glows int he dark. How can you get any better than GB's and glowing? You get me an awesome cat mug! That's how. LOL! The cats are all around it and they are etched into it. They are so fun. I love their little faces. It's a bug mug too and fit lots of hot chocolate at a time. Grin  And last but not least is the family of deers.... I will show you that one individually because it is so cute. It has a buck on one side and a doe on the other with a little baby inside. It's so sweet!

And here is the tour de force (is that how you say that), the super awesome, absolutely amazing MUG RUG!!!! It's designed after my cats name, Yeti Pegleg! Hilarious! It's absolutely amazing. I love everything about it! The fabrics she chose are incredible. Those mountains, his expression. All too perfect! I absolutely love it!

Thank you so much JoyfulClover. I had such a fun time meeting you. Everyone in Asheville is in for a treat. She is so much fun and so awesome!

Project Name: Cornice painting
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: My sister moved into my Grandparents house when they passed away and my Grandma was obsessed with pink. There entire living room was pink. The walls, the carpet, the curtains, the cornices. My sister had painted the walls years ago but she didnt know what to do with the cornices since they were secured into the plaster walls and her husband liked them. For Christmas I bought her several bottles of different types of fabric paint and we settled on one and I mixed up the paint and we painted her cornices. It took three coats and they stayed on the walls. Our arms were killing us! But I think they turned out really well. Before and After pictures and the small one was before we started the second coat.
Like Michelangelo, we had to paint them while they were on the walls.

Project Name: Alien Bowl Cozies

Brief Description: Nothing was better than sitting in front of the big TV in the living room, cereal bowl in hand, and watching my sister play Nintendo as a kid. Well, except for my turn. LOL! I saw this fabric and knew it was the perfect one for my own bowl cozy at work. When my friend saw it she loved it so she got one too. Now I have two people waiting for the next time I feel like sewing to make them some as well. These things are popular. Better hurry before the weather gets warm I guess.

Brief Description: I made this for a swap with JoyfulClover. We met in person last weekend and exchanged gifts. She is AWESOME btw! I learned how to do the borders by watching a YouTube video. I never do that. I should more often. Still need to practice but it came out much better than my last try. The elephant was drawn with Intense pencils and alcohol inks.

Brief Description: I found this free pattern on-line. It was easy enough that I am thinking of possibly doing a swap where we make it and fill it for each other. What do you think? I love the way it turned out and that it is useful. I need to make a couple for my doodads at work that keep cluttering up my desk.

This gallery has been incredible!  There are so many awesome ATCoins. I can't believe all the amazing creativity.
I am going to add to it with these fantastic coins that Jenleahlynn sent me. I absolutely love them!
First up is this adorable hand drawn coin of a Yeti reading a Gazetti. LOL! I love Yeti's. This one is perfect!

Then, since it's obvious I have a deep love for Ghostbusters, she made me a Shrinky Dink version of Slimer!! Look at that expression. It is awesome. She also included a small Ghostbusters logo that I am going to turn into a pin I think.

And last but not least, kuchi kopi from Bob's Burgers. This one turned out the neatest in my opinion. Since it's translucent plastic it has a real glowing effect. It is so cool in real life!

Thank you so much Jenleahlynn. I absolutely love the coins and all your creativity. Awesome swap!

Sorry it took so long for me to post. Life got busy but I absolutely love my package from NODSU! She outdid herself.
First up is the fun fabric, chocolate candies, and tea that she sent me. The fabric is nice and thick. I already have an idea for it.

Next up is this incredible cat butt magnet that she made. It's so cool and has plenty of staying power! I happen to think cat butts are hilarious so this is absolutely purrfect for me! The band-aid cracked me up.

and lsat but not least, this absolutely adorable Yeti necklace and super cool butterfly hair clip. I love them both so much! They will both get plenty of wear. Love them!!!!

Thank you so much NODSU! I have an amazing time swapping with you!

Project Name: Mushroom Bowl Cozies

Brief Description: I made these for the Good Little Things swap. The mushrooms are crossing over from something you eat to something that holds what you eat! (I had to try really hard on this explanation) Tongue I'm using my partners pic since I forgot to take one.

Project Name: Mushroom Box
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: I am trying to branch out from the normal, safe crafts I have gotten in the habit of making. I worry so much about disappointing my partner that I feel I have lost a lot of the creativity that I started off with here. So, I took a gander at embellishing a box. Granted, its not great but its a beginning.

8  Golden Cat Crossbody Bag in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by gozer on: January 15, 2019 11:31:16 AM

Hello Again!
I made another of the Coneflower Cross Body Bags from the Carried Away Pattern Collective, Bag of the Month Club. This one was made for my Mom. I made her another bag years and years ago. She was in desperate need of a new bag since hers was getting ragged. She liked the style of this bag but asked that it shut a little lower. I did that for her. It was a bit tricky doing that and keeping the cat below the flap. The fabric was in squares so I ended up piecing together the top bit above the cat so it wouldn't have another cats butt cut off above it.  Tongue
Since it was for my Mom I wanted it to look extra nice so I matched the metallic gold of the fabric with all the hardware. I had tons of silver tone already but it just didn't look right.
She absolutely loved the bag. I think it turned out really nice. It looks so much better in real life but I was in a hurry to get pics so I could wrap it up for Christmas so these are the best shots I got.
Now I need to get back to work on the November bag from the club. I am so far behind because I made so many of this pattern.  Cheesy  Oh, and even though my goal was to make all the bags out of stash fabric, I bought this fabric. I figured I already made two out of stash fabric and this was for my Mom, who happens to be amazing!

This was my Moms favorite cat. It's officially the front of the bag but I don't think people will really turn the flap towards tehmselves so I call it the back.

Open, with the gold magnetic snaps. LOL!

and a blurry side shot, sorry.

 Thanks for checking it out!

I am trying to motivate myself into finishing a purse/backpack I started back in November. Here is an in progress shot to hopefully get me rolling again. I think it will end up cute but I have never sewn a backpack before so I am mentally psyching myself out.  Embarrassed

Project Name: Co-Workers Bowl Cozies
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: Just like CraftADDchick, I think that bowl cozies are the perfect item for someone under the weather. Or, for me, when the weather is under freezing!  It's super cold here right now and everyone at work has been using the microwaves because they want something warm on such cold days. I was telling a friend I needed to make a bowl cozy for another friend for her birthday and two of my co-workers asked me to make them one as well. They are sweet ladies so I agreed. This should keep them warmer and if they use chicken noodle soup, hopefully from getting the dreaded cold. Also, I got that awesome handmade tie dye fern fabric from LeapFeetFirst who got it in a swap from sloth003. Just wanted to give credit. I love that fabric and am excited that I will get to see it everyday (at least in the winter).
