1  Re: Winter Book Swap 2019 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by gozer on: December 13, 2019 07:25:37 AM
I received my wonderful package from irid3sc3nt yesterday. We said we would go small and not spoil but I feel spoiled. Sorry if you feel jilted irid3sc3nt!
She got me two wonderful books. I can't wait to start the Christmas short stories. It will be just what I need to get me in the spirit and I love that they are short in case I get overwhelmed with stuff to do and can't finish an entire story. LOL! She also sent Station 11 which I have been wanting to read for some time now.

Next I suspect she is trying for death by chocolate with the haul I got. All so yummy and amazing! The dark pecan tortoise is SO yummy! And she send me several yummy lip balms for the cold weather too. She also sent some super cute and yummy hot chocolate!

She knows that I collect both bookmarks and ATCs. She sent me an awesome Bobs Burgers Louise card where Louise sewed her own hat. I love it! And I adore the bookmark. I like that a little cat head peeks out when it's inthe book. Who can go wrong with a cat?!

Thank you so much irid3sc3nt. You really made my last swap amazing!

I got another card!  This came in from CLM and I love it. I had to take the pic at an angle to show how shimmery it is. Its hand cut and I love it!

I am so sorry. It has been an especially hard week for me. Not only did we all learn about Craftster closing but I also lost my foster cat, Midge. She was 19 and passed away from cancer. It's been so rough.
I got this adorable card from Pioneer9 and it is cheering me up. Can't believe this is the last card I will receive in a Craftsters ATC Swap, but at least it was a great one! Thank you all!

I got the cutest card from Linda P. She even included a super glittery envelope. I have been having a really hard week so this helped brighten my spirits. Sorry for the delay in posting him. I absolutely love him. Cutest Yeti ever!

I received an amazing and hilarious card from Geekgirl earlier in the week. Its been a super busy week for me so I just got a chance to post up. Sorry for the delay. This card is for my Vintage Fisher Price Little People doing bad, inappropriate or funny things. I have to admit, this is my favorite theme and I have never been disappointed by it. Geekgirl has her two little naughty toys stripping down to their birthday suits and taking a skinny dip! Hilarious! Thank you so much for the card. I love it!

6  Re: ONGOING ATC SWAP - OCT 2019 GALLERY in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by gozer on: November 22, 2019 12:40:51 PM
Sorry this took so long to post up. I have had a super crazy week with training at work and then after work has been extra busy too. BUT my trainer left today so I am hopping on here to post up my goodies.
I received two wonderful cards from Thanate. A colorful unicorn and a mermaid.

I received two fantastic cards over the weekend.

The first is from Thanate with one of her embroideries. I am not sure if she knew I have a black cat. Her name is Dahlia and she loved the card too.

and next I received a beautifully hand drawn (my favorites!) card of the majestic and rarely seen Lion Unicorn from the talented irid3sc3nt. Just look at that face. He looks so sweet. Love his soulful eyes.

Thank you both! I love both cards (and Dahl loves them both too even though she is pictured with only one of them  Wink)

Project Name: Day of the Dead Pumpkin
Project Link: (if available)
Brief Description: I would consider painting on a pumpkin primitive. I am sure they have been doing it for centuries. I am not good at thinking of how to decorate a pumpkin, it's just pumpkin shaped after all.  Embarrassed    I figured a bunch of flowers might help it.  Wink

Project Name: Gourdon the Snake.
Project Link: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=459661.0
Brief Description: I was asked by work to paint a gourd for our Halloween table. I have never painted a gourd before. I was having trouble with the paint sticking and Kwality570 recommended sealing it between coats. Never would have occured to me. I am not a painter! But I think he turned out well. It is a snake, which is inspired by nature. This was my favorite pic, there are lots more in the link.  Tongue

10  Snake Gourd in Halloween Decor and Parties by gozer on: October 28, 2019 08:06:33 AM
My work handed me a gourd and asked me to turn it into a swan for our Halloween display at work. I asked them why they wanted to turn it into a swan when it was obviously a snake? They told me they didn't care what it became as long as it was work appropriate.  Tongue

I have never painted a gourd before and I am not that skilled of a painter. I prefer to use markers so I was intimidated to start but I think he turned out well. Everyone at work liked him. I named him Gourdon. Sorry for so many pics. I was just tickled that he actually looked somewhat like a snake.

And my favorite pic.

and it on display at my house before I brought it in.

And a bonus shot of my cat Dahlia before I started. She was checking it out. *She was sick a couple weeks ago and had to get blood taken. She is still growing out the fur on her throat.
