11  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: What do YOU do while stitching? on: July 02, 2008 11:49:55 AM
I usually watch movies as well when I stitch. My favorite stitching movie is the BBC's Pride and Prejudice. I've seen it so many times I don't need to look at the screen to know whats going on. Plus, since it's a long movie I really feel i've made progress on my project at the end of it.

I love it, it looks great on you. A pattern would be wonderful.
15  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Knit pattern to crochet pattern on: June 05, 2008 12:57:53 PM
A friend of mine found some vintage crochet and knitting magazines at a garage sale and picked them up for me. There are some really cute tank/halter top patterns from the 70's in one of the magazines that we would like to try and make. Unfortunately, they are knitting patterns, and I only know how to crochet. Does anyone know how to convert a knit pattern into a crochet pattern? Or should I just learn how to knit? Thanks!

It's looking great, I'm sure your son will love it. I made myself a stocking from the same collection, it took me 3 years to finish. My boyfriend lit a fire under me when he said 'If it's not finished by christmas, no presents for you'.  Shocked

Did you do that in strips and then assemble it all? i don't like that added step but the effect is cool. Hopefully i can post mine soo, it is due for a baby shower gift in 2 weeks!

It's all one peice, I just changed the color every 2nd row so that one side of the afghan has all the ends to weave in.
Hope that helps.
