1  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: Michael's Yarn Sale! on: November 10, 2007 11:44:48 PM
No it wasn't SWS it is more of a tweedy look and has no bamboo in it. Lemme look it up. Ok its Moda Dea's Tweedle Dee. There aren't as many colors in each skein, and the colors are more muted, but it does remind me of noro and is really pretty stuff. Heres a link http://www.modadea.com/tweedledee.htm

Ooh I love Tweedle Dee, I made a hooded scarf from the Surf & Turf colorway, so gorgeous!
2  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: continental v.s. English methods? on: November 10, 2007 03:15:50 PM
I'm a continental knitter because I learned to crochet first, and it's more natural to me.  I did learn english as well, but continental is so much easier on my wrists, and it's faster.

Shocked Wow, great job on all of those!  I especially love the cardigan, it's so much cuter than the original pattern!

My first Fiber Friday posting, yay!  Cheesy  Everyone's yarn is so gorgeous, I love it all this week!

Sunny Seas, no plans for it yet...

Rhubarb Garden, which I'm going to knit into a wrap-type thing for my mom

Cotton Candy Punk, which I'm still spinning...I'm thinking of knitting it into a hat

B&W, which is a lot thinner than the others, not sure what to do with it...and there's not much of it, I'll have to spin some more  Smiley

I'm still learning...these are the first real skeins I've spun so far, and they're all pretty small  Wink  I dyed all the roving myself too, with the exception of B&W...which I'm pretty proud of, but I definitely need more practice!

Mullers, I don't blame your kitty...I had a fleece I slept on when I was a little kid and I was pretty attached to it  Wink

Sorry to hear about your fibre!  haven't you read the Harlot?  Squirrels live outside!!!! LOL!

LOL they certainly do!  Though I've never had one stand up to me and chase me back inside  Cheesy

But yeah, I actually was painting roving the other day and it was nice and sunny outside...I considered putting it outside to dry, but I was too terrified something would happen to it!
10  KNITTING / Knitting: Discussion and Questions / Re: You know you've been knitting too much when ________. on: November 08, 2007 03:19:54 PM
When you get really upset because you feel like daily routine stuff is cutting into your knitting time...like working, going grocery shopping, paying bills.  Showers take too long, I can get five more rows done instead!  Why sleep when I can knit?  Sleep is overrated anyway!   Cheesy

I've also had moments when I've yelled at my fiance for trying to initiate any kind of intimacy...I'm BUSY, damnit!  Roll Eyes
