I got these cute black slip ons at the craft store and i wanted to jazz them up it took me a while to figure out what i wanted to do then it hit me tuxedo shoes!! Like those tacky tuxedo shirts.  i even included the flower lapel on the side.  I did them in pink black and white to add some extra girlyness and because they are my fave colors

let me know what you think last time i painted a pair of shoes was a pair of chucks in the 8th grade
13  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / crafty baby shower goodness on: August 29, 2008 02:35:48 PM
My sister in law was expecting her second child (another cute girl) so mom, my Snl's aunt and myself decided to throw her a baby shower for our things mom and I got crafty. We found some ideas on a web site and decided we would give it a shot

For favors we found this idea for Styrofoam cup booties which are cuter than they sound so here they are

The center piece of the shower is the coolest of all a watermelon baby buggy ( which my mom deserves all the credit for)

Mom and i worked together on the cupcakes. The pink icing turned out great it is one of those colors we will never be able to achieve again

And last but not least we wanted the big sis to chip in so i drew a baby shower sign and she colored it in and let me say she did a wonderful job for a 5 year old

It is kind of late to post this the baby shower was over 2 months ago and i am the proud aunt to a one month old niece ( and of course a 5 year old niece too) but i hope you like it Smiley

15  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / vintage runner into cockfight messagner bag on: July 14, 2008 07:49:19 PM
i found this awesome vintage runner at a thrift shop for fifty cents (cant beat that with a bat) plus it was in my colors, pink and black.  i wanted to make the most of the scalloped edge so i decided to make it into a messanger bag so the scalloped side could be the flap.  Id love to say i took it worked my magic (ala peanut butter sandwitches) and it was done but that isn't the case.  My first attempt at it was horrible using black side panels and pink bias tape, but then i saw the jordy tute and used that as a guide.  Well enough chit chat here are the links to the pics let me know what you think. BTW i know i need to seal the edges of the strapping with like some glue or something any suggestions?

16  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / my record jewelery holder (my apologies to ray stevens) on: July 01, 2008 06:55:21 PM
i was inspired by this post https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=248767.0 it was a great idea but i didn't have room on my dresser so i decided to come up with a wall mounted version so this is what i came up with
I think it turned out pretty cool.  Let me know what you think opinions are much appreciated
17  CLOTHING / Clothing for Curvaceous Craftsters: Completed Projects / sweet top my first sewn garmet now with link to pic on: May 19, 2008 09:17:34 PM
i have sewn a couple of things before a bag and some sock monkeys so i decided to leap in with this pattern for a baby doll to its simplicity i don't know the number but it suggested one fabric but i mixed it up with the skull and the polka dots and added the heart buttons for some sweetness i really hope the Pict shows up

the next one i make i plan to make the top part a little smaller and a line out the sides  a little more to accommodate my ample booty

19  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / my first sewing project tablecloth bag on: February 28, 2008 09:20:25 PM
About ten years ago i was at an antique store and in a dollar bin i found this fab vintage tourist tablecloth.  From the start i wanted to make it a purse but never got up the guts to until about a year ago. So taadaa here it is

i made my own pattern so i could show all the really cool graphic parts of the table cloth. sorry about only having one picture but the lining is black cotton and the back shows some cool landmark images.  It makes a great bag for toting knitting projects let me know what you think
20  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / my first post: Eddie teddy on: February 15, 2008 09:47:06 PM
My brother and his wife are expecting their second child this summer. I had to make it something now but i don't know what it is so i wanted to shy away from clothing.  It hit me a teddy bear hence Eddie teddy was born.

I designed the pattern my self in several flat pieces.  Mr Teddy is made out of scraps of cotton and acrylic yarn to make him machine washable.  My sister in laws mom paid me to make a girl one for as a gift for one of her friends as soon I get a Pict ill post it .

Let me know what you think.  If you are wondering about the name my brother's childhood bear was Freddy teddy naturally Eddie teddy son of Freddy teddy came to mind ( i know i am lame)
