Arcadian Green..You're so sweet.  Cheesy

It's about 8x10. Originally I was going to pin it on foam board and frame it so I tried to make it to fit into an 8x10 frame.

CraftyWife.. Thanks, I had fun making it. I think the winner is pretty happy too. Cheesy

I'm mailing this little quilt off tomorrow as a giveaway prize, but I thought I'd show it off one last time before it's out of my hands forever. Cheesy

It's a little mini quilt I put together with machine applique and stitching ( I designed it and digitized it, so it wasn't totally cheating Cheesy).

It's really tiny - Perfect for Barbie.

Thanks for looking,

Jen Baer

5  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Completed Projects / Re: vintage embroidery on an old jeans on: July 30, 2008 08:17:16 AM
OOOh! I love it! I really like how you used the orange fabric as an applique. It really makes the embroidery pop.

Totally agree, Tree Cactus's video will help you a ton. Nothings better than seeing someone do it.

8  NEEDLEWORK / Needlework: Discussion and Questions / Re: Embroidery on Corduroy? on: July 27, 2008 02:09:29 AM
I forgot about solvy! I think that might work even better for the corduroy. The iron on stabilizer seems to lift up a lot when moving around.

I would try iron on stabilizer. I'm working on a project right now with it and I really like it. It's supposed to be able to be torn away after you finish your project. It'll stick with the iron on, although I would still pin it in a couple places just incase it lifted up, you can re iron it to make it stick again.

I bought sulky brand tear away iron on stabilizer.

10  CRAFTY BUSINESS ADVICE / Crafty Business Discussion / Re: inspiration from patterns... legal to sell? on: July 19, 2008 02:55:46 PM
From what I understand "clothing" can't be copyrighted,.. a shirt is a shirt, is a shirt. Ya know.

I think that getting insperation from something you've seen is fair game, after all who can say what you're allowed to be inspired by anyway? If your Hubby is making things from his brilliant mind it's not like he's unethically copying a pattern anyway. I think your in safe waters. Cheesy

Best of luck,
