21  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Re: scarflette on: October 22, 2009 11:09:00 AM
Thank you. It was almost embarrasingly simple. It is a rectangle that wraps around and crosses at the end. Then it is folded over like a collar, similar to some sweaters I have seen.

Well, then maybe it's simple enough that I can make one! I think it's super cute.

Where do you get the recycled yarn?

So cute. Is this your original pattern?

Just to echo everyone else, love the patterns. I'm not a big fan of most of the crocheted fingerless gloves, but I like your pattern.

I'm just starting to make purses/bags. This is a fabulous idea. And your fabric is sooo cute. Great job!

I love the wolf and the heart. Too bad I don't usually get styrofoam, but I guess I could wash and reuse take-out containers whenever I have those.

PS I saw this on CRAFT Magazine's blog.

PPS Not sure about elsewhere, but I know in the US grocery stores usually have a recycling container for styrofoam from produce and egg cartons. You can't recycle styrofoam from meat, but you could clean them at home for this craft. Oh the ideas...

Very pretty. And congrats on the weight loss (that is if you wanted to lose the weight)...I always think it's an excuse for me to buy more clothes. Smiley
