11  Re: Easy Peasy Swap Gallery in The Swap Gallery by buckeyebeadgirl on: April 04, 2008 12:20:54 PM
I received the BEST package today from Miss. Cellaneous!   She combined three things that I love: Amy Butler fabrics, the color red, and horses (I'm going to be working in an equine-only veterinary practice come July).  I LOVE IT!!!

As soon as I tore it open I had to lay it all out (and of course my kitty had to inspect):

This was the state of my wall before....an empty frame where a poster of a Monet had fallen out almost a year ago, and every attempt to put it back in has failed:

And here's my wall now!:

Thank you soooo much Miss. Cellaneous!  I absolutely LOVE it!  When I move, my whole living room is going to be centered around that!!

Thank you, craftydeb and QuiltersBlock for organizing this amazing swap!!

12  Turquoise and silver pendant in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by buckeyebeadgirl on: March 16, 2008 07:18:46 PM
It's been a while since I've broken out the pliers and played with my stash, but it's my friend's bday in a few days and I wanted to make her a little something.  It's made with Bali silver, some silver chain, and natural turquoise beads.  I hope she likes it!

(sorry for the blurry pictures...the macro function wasn't working too well on my camera!)

13  Amy Butler Placemats and Napkins! (pic heavy!) in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by buckeyebeadgirl on: March 16, 2008 07:14:10 PM
So, like many people, I am slightly obsessed with Amy Butler fabrics.  I made these for a recent swap using the patterns in AB's In Stitches and some of her fabrics.  As always, comments appreciated!

14  There's a blizzard outside...so I made a wallet! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by buckeyebeadgirl on: March 08, 2008 12:38:36 PM
Well, Ohio is covered in snow, and I decided to get crafty and try my first attempt at a wallet...

And the action shot...

Let me know what you think...the bottom pocket for the checkbook was supposed to be twice as big, but I had pressed the pocket wrong after I had pressed the pockets for the credit cards and didn't want to undo all the work!  This is my first attempt at credit card slots, etc...I just used pieces I had left from some cheap fat quarters, so if it didn't turn out, I wasn't too upset!!  Smiley I'm pretty happy with the results!

15  Amy Butler Frenchy Bag! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by buckeyebeadgirl on: February 28, 2008 06:43:34 PM
I bet AB didn't expect her bag to be done in skullys!!

I made this bag for my friend who loves pink and skulls as a thank you for watching my kitties while I was gone.

16  Re: Spice up your Kitchen Swap (Signups Closed) Sendouts by 3/25 in ARCHIVE OF SWAPS THAT ARE TOTALLY FINISHED by buckeyebeadgirl on: February 28, 2008 06:39:10 PM
I went supply shopping today!  Just a little sneak peek for my buddy, antarcticraft!  Smiley

Oh, and my kitty Cricket needed to be in on the craftiness (or maybe she just liked the bag....)

I'm so excited about this swap!!  I'm moving in a few months for a job after I graduate, and when I do I'm redoing my kitchen.  As a result, I'm not going to post any pictures of my kitchen that I'm in right now, but rather a few things that I'm super excited about putting in my new kitchen and are using for inspiration!

My graduation present...I graduate from veterinary school, and what am I most excited about?  Getting a red Kitchenaid stand mixer!!   Grin

One day, this will all be mine...

One of my favorite mugs and a really cool retro design that I want to try to decorate my kitchen in (or one similar):

I hope this helps give some ideas for my future swap partner...I'm starting from scratch again with just a few idea...can you tell that I LOVE the color red??

19  New chain and amazonite necklace in Beads: Completed Projects by buckeyebeadgirl on: September 30, 2007 10:42:45 AM
My friend's birthday is coming up, and I hope she likes this!  It's sterling silver chain, amazonite, black diamond Swarovski crystal and a few crystal Swarovski and silver spacers.

(sorry, some of the pictures aren't the best...I'm asking for a new camera for Christmas!)

20  Some of my finished pieces...opinions please!! (picture heavy) in Beads: Completed Projects by buckeyebeadgirl on: September 24, 2007 06:49:20 PM
Hey everybody...I've been beading for a couple of years now, and these are some of my newer projects.  Let me know what you think!

Choker...I was playing with the awesome lampwork focal bead and wanted to make it the centerpiece!

Turquoise heshi and rondelles intertwining with some red coral pieces I got in Florida.

Oh wire wrapping...how I loathe doing it, but love the results!  Wire wrap, gold chain, and some amazonite and Swarovski mixed in.

A goldstone graduated strand that I rearranged and added some goldstone rondelles to.

Take that Express!  You wanted $28 for this necklace, I got it done for under $8  Grin

A graduated strand of jasper (can't remember what kind, sorry!) that I rearranged and added some Swarovski to to space it out.

Various pieces of sterling silver chain (I think 9-10 pieces on each side) that are joined together by wire-wrapping crystal AB Swarovski crystals...I'll try to get a better picture up!

Czech glass, Swarovski, and some black onyx.

A three strand twisted necklace using a jumble of mixed beads that I had purchased together (Laura Liska makes the BEST color mixes!) and then added some bigger beads to it.

One of my favorites...two stranded, larger turquoise nuggets and spacers on the first strand, then curved sterling silver beads and rondelles spaced on the second strand.

Coral and turquoise and a cool hand-carved wooden center bead that I got at a shop back home.

First pair:  Chinese lampwork and some gold chain.  Second pair: Curved sterling silver tubes and Swarovski pearls.  Third: Swarovski crystals and gold filled "potato chip" beads.

PMC charms.  I'll try to get a better picture of it!
