1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Anyone who handsews? on: December 15, 2008 08:41:37 PM
Anyone who handsews please please please post inspiration (as in your (favourite) projects)? I don't have a sewing machine though.

I'm not really into no-sew projects such as slashing shirts or halters/tubes. Actually, I have a few projects in mind but I don't dare to go ahead to buy the material and try. Just need a little push Wink

t shirt dresses:

I like jersey but it's quite expensive at Spotlight for the nicer, less heavy kind? Or maybe I just have to search better hm ): Was thinking of buying cheap basics to recon, might be easier?
2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / iPod case! on: October 07, 2008 09:39:19 AM

I used polyester felt, anyone knows how (not?) lasting it is? Hmm the package said it was "washable" but I haven't tried
3  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / DROPS Crochet hat in Bomull-Lin help! on: September 02, 2008 12:39:33 AM
pattern says "Repeat 5th round until piece measures 17 cm" but that's like ...6 inches? does that mean I measure the diameter of the hat to be 6inches? or does it look like a typo = circumference of the hat to be 17inches?

this is my first time trying a pattern like that + i didn't manage to get the correct gauge so i tried to improvise but it's still very small after repeating many row5s as compared to the pictures i've seen on ravelry ):

my gauge is 25x26 instead of 15x16, and i think i'm going to try again with another hook/yarn. heh if anyone will help me work out how many more stitches to do with my current gauge, that will be great Tongue
4  COOKING / Dessert / gingerbears take over the world! (slightly image heavy) on: April 05, 2008 05:56:05 PM
My mom helped me bake these for a school fundraiser (: credit- photos from the sister.

yep thanks for viewing, oh and uhm which one is your favourite?
5  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / crochet for summer/spring? on: March 11, 2008 02:27:13 AM

What do you crochet for summer/spring? Because it's summer 24/7 here so I don't have any use for scarves or like armwarmers. But I'd really like to crochet something that I could wear.

I'm not looking for beach crochet (no swimwear) either so maybe...hats or belts? So what are your favourite non-wintery hat patterns?

Or bags/clutches but not market bag types, checked the list of patterns but nothing I really like ):
6  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / pretty puffs ...unslouchy beanie? on: February 10, 2008 04:28:53 AM
I tried the Pretty Puffs Slouchy Hat for the FOURTH time but it still isn't slouchy enough ): At least it fits this time. It looks like a beanie.
7  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / magnetic poetry help! on: December 23, 2007 05:22:13 AM

I intend on making magnetic poetry for Christmas gifts except I'm really not sure what to put for the words. It'll be very appreciated if anyone can share links to word lists or even their own personal word lists, thanks.
