3  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / crochet penguin.. on: August 06, 2008 12:17:04 PM
ok so im making a penguin for my friend, but i cant decide which to do.

thats with the white circles around the eyes. i like this one best but does it look too much like an owl?

and heres without the circles around the eyes. its kinda weird looking because i cant get a good pic with my webcam, but if i did this im hoping it would look like this
which is what i based mine off of.
and of corse i still have to make the beak and the feet and the wings, and plus its not stuffed yet, but thats next haha. so which one do you think looks better?

nobody knows how to fix them?
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / skinnier slacks on: March 29, 2008 10:12:54 AM
ok well my grandma has these slacks,
kindof like these..http://www.justiceclothing.com/justice/images/slides/400x400/pa20279_1.jpg
and they're too wide for her like at the hips(not the waistband) and thighs i guess. she wants to make them skinnier, obviously not too skinny but just so its not so big on her. so we were looking at this: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=129855.0
but the thing is, she can't take them in from the hips, where its too big, because there's pockets on the side(which is mostly where they're too big, around the pocket area), so if she takes them in from the hips, it would make the pockets really small. if she takes them in from right underneath the pockets, it gets kind of a bubble on the pocket...and if she takes them in from the knees down, it wouldn't do what she wanted because theyre too big AT THE HIPS/THIGHS.
how could she make them skinnier without making the pockets small, or anything?  Huh
