2  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Vintage Floral Dotty Goodness on: March 11, 2005 09:28:31 AM
I just finished this bag up last night while I should have been at work. I fell in love with this fabric and have been too afraid of ruining it to use it. But when I raided my sewing stash and remembered the polka dot fabric I had gotten for like $1 a yard I threw caution to the wind and decided to go for it. It is my favorite not quite a tote, but bigger than a handbag size. I can fit my knitting, a sketchbook, my journal, a camera, plus the normal phone/makeup/wallet in it with tons of room to spare. I attempted to put in a little ruched pocket, didn't come out as well as I planned but all in all I am pretty happy with the project as a whole. I still have some of the floral left over and I am going to do a few more bags for my soon to be website hopefully. I am thinking of some faux suede accents and maybe one with handmade black wood handles. What do you guys think? Any comments are welcome as long as you are not mean! Wow, I think I just typed way too much. Basically, this is a purse, I made it, and I am pretty happy with it.

3  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Discussion and Questions / Transferring onto paper? on: March 09, 2005 02:12:01 PM
i did a search and couldn't seem to find anything to help. i was wondering if any of you crafty ladies (and boys) have used iron on transfers on paper. i want to transfer some images from my computer on to card stock to make cards and stenciling/silk screen/any thing else that i thought of is out of the question because these are super detailed illustrations. any suggestions or help would be great... thanks in advance guys.
4  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Stitch And BOTCH / yikes!! on: September 16, 2004 04:25:23 PM
I have the worst (I will see what i can do about getting a picture but it may be deemed inappropriate)

I have recently been learning to crochet. Finally I got the hang of it and I got a bit cocky.

Me, thinking I could crochet a hat, keeps crocheting around and around. At first it was fine, getting bigger as I went, but after the first two rows i noticed it wasn't getting any wider. But I continued on. After 20 minutes I put it down and left the room filled with frustration... my brother walks in and calls to me "so now you knit penis cozies??"

6  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Paper Crafts: Completed Projects: General / Brand New Accordion Book on: August 30, 2004 10:34:17 AM
I just made this book for a friend and I am looking for opinions. I am half ready to start over because it's not what i had planned on but it may be growing on me. I am unsure of the exact dimensions but it was made to fit 1 polaroid on each page with a decent sized border around all four edges. I had to seam the paper for every 2 pages (I used regular printer sized black cardstock). The buttons are there to cover glue smudges but it is fine by me, I am a button addict. Basically, I would love to have some honest opinions on what should stay, what I should change, should I just start over...here are the photos:
