Ok Here is the Moth Wings Shrug that I made for Linnybelle!
It is called a Moth Wings Shrug by Mimi Alelis and I found it in the Summer 2010 edition of Interweave Crochet.

The color in the picture is pretty close (It is a pretty green color) and the last picture shows some of the sparkly-ness of the thread. This is one of the first times I really finished something using such a small hook so it has some oopsys. Smiley

I hope to make another one soon for myself Smiley

So I received from Linnybelle today for my Package 3 and It's really cool!
Package 3 from Linnybelle

I got this Art Quilt Square which I have never really seen one before. Based on my favorite holiday Halloween, Black and Red (which are my favorite colors too!) And it's a spider web! The spiders are metal and the spider web is I believe hand stitched with silver metallic thread. I don't know much about quilting but it looks AWESOME! It also has hanging tabs, just haven't figured out where I wanna hang it up at.

Here are some close ups!

Then the rest of the package is a bird silhouette and a canvas square that has stars on it and gave me a better idea for decorating my room! The last this is a fabric treasure container thing... I cannot find the letter but it's something specific and in Japanese culture it is made by hand as a gift so therefore Linnybelle hand stitched it.. which is really cool (mainly because I can't hand stitch at all haha). I already put my Rosary necklace in it. The back is made with musical note fabric which i love music!

I can't wait to find places for all my decor to find a place on my walls!

I just recently got my package from Australia!! Here is:
Package #2 from Mod35tBabe

Here is a group picture. I got some rainbow toe socks!! which I love colorful socks in general. I got some Arm Warmers that were made which I'm still trying to figure out how to wear them... haha... I got some odds and ends for journaling which is ALWAYS a good thing! Smiley
I also got some pink zebra print shoelaces which I haven't quite decided which shoes I am gonna put them on yet. I also got a thick fabric Skull Choker... which I LOVE and have to wait til this heat passes before I can wear it. And I got a canvas thing with an awesome saying on it!!

Another thing I got was a SKULL WIP Crochet Bag!!! the skull is a pocket also for me to put some odds and ends!! Also with it is a hook roll that has some amazing music fabric (I love music fabric, I played the flute all through middle school and high school and the piano in college!!) Included were a bunch of colorful hooks!!! (I usually prefer metal hooks but these are pretty awesome!) And also I got a measuring tape (you might be able to see it in the picture).

I am happy with my Package 2s and can't wait to receive package three... and also send the package threes Smiley

I received from Linnybelle quite a bit ago but haven't been able to post pictures because I couldn't find batteries for my camera.
Here is Package #2 from Linnybelle

Here are the pictures!!! I got two magazines, a crochet magazine (which is Interweave Crochet, I love this magazine), and another magazine... I think it is a paper type one... haven't been able to get through it.. still trying to finish my package threes.

This is a how to journal book... I have pretty much read the whole thing!!! And a bookbinding kit!!!! I have been really wanting to get into it and am happy to have some stuff to practice with! Smiley I also got some fabric that I LOVE!

I then got a purse which I haven't used yet but it will get used... especially because it is small and I needed more small purses. I also got three skeins of yarn which are very soft. and some pretty postit notes.... I love post it notes!

Overall, I loved everything and can't wait to start playing with all my new stuff Cheesy

15  Princess Leia Task Chair in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by SilentMynerva on: July 10, 2011 09:25:33 PM
So I decided to try my hand at redoing a green task chair that I have had for a long time. It was for my crafts and for my computer desk and it was the most uncomfortable thing but I never wanted to get rid of it because that would mean I would have to buy another chair.... So for the longest time I wanted to put extra padding and better fabric... So tonight... I did it!
I had some pretty awesome Princess Leia fabric I got a long time ago... Not too fond of the pink but it was still pretty awesome. SO here it is!

This is somewhat what it looked like... I didn't take a before pic... the green was dingy from years of use.

The padding is kinda lumpy for being my first time... but it is thick and comfy now!!!

The underside doesn't look that great but ehhh... I don't care it still looks awesome.

ANNNNDDD here is the pretty fabric!

Well... after the long wait for my lovely Australian Partners Package 1... Here is how the box looked when I got it...

So I'm just gonna list everything and then put pics up... Mainly because I had to take multiple pics of what I got because it wouldn't all fit in one picture...

Something w/favorite animal: kangaroo fabric in bright colors and a koala for my car!!
Something that you think smells good: Lavender body wash/scrub and lotion!!! I love lavender too!!! And Strawberry Incense... sadly I can't use it but my family loves it (I have asthma)
Something that you wear on your body: lipgloss pack and I think there was supposed to be nail polish but I didn't see any...
Something that reflects your personal style: a mini canvas with random things (which will look cool pinned to my wall of randomness!) Also a list of quotes she likes.
Something related to Yarn or Thread: Cotton yarn in a pretty blue and a Crochet HOOK....  it's a 6mm so I gotta figure out what letter that represents here Smiley
Something local to your city, state or country: Random things from her cities visitor's center!!! I can't wait to fully go through it and put them up on my walls!! Also two postcards... there is one of a church that she can see from her house...
Something you always keep in purse/bag: enviro-bag... or a re-usable bag that is awesome!!! And it can be zipped up so compact... the reason I don't use them is because it's hard to keep in the purse, but this is definitely staying attached so I can use it.
Hair Accessory: blue clips that mod35tbabe personalized and a lacy/gauzy flowery hair comb... which is currently in my hair.
Favorite Design: Leopard Print Tissues!!!!
Something drinkable: Peppermint Tea and Camomile & Spearmint Tea... can't wait to try it.
Something related to non-craft hobbies: two bookmarks... On with a quote on it about reading and one that has a short history about her last name!!
Consider Summer essential: Seeing as how it is winter over there! She got me a flip flop keychain that will go on my car keys!
Kitchen Staple: An Awesome Sydney Australia tea towel!!!
and last but not least....
Essential to your favorite craft: A MINI CARD SET!!! it's got cards/envelopes, small markers, some stamps and some ink for the stamps and sea shell notepad...
There are also some Sydney Australia Coasters that probably fall with the tea towel and a notecard that is yellow and has flipflops on it and blue flower... I think that falls in with the summer essential.... Smiley Enjoy the pictures!!!

So received a couple of days ago and just haven't gotten to post the pictures. This is from my 2nd Swap Partner

Package 1:
how it looked when I opened the box.

here is after I opened all the individual packages. I didn't get a pic of the chocolates until later because Texas Heat means chocolate does not stay solid so those had to be put in the fridge for a couple of days.

Bubbles - Summer Essential
Nail File - Always found in Purse/Bag
Socks - Something she collects... I collect too... I love colorful socks Smiley
Two Christmas Ornaments - Favorite Holiday... I get to add this to my collection of ornaments that my family has collected over the years.
Native Tongue - Something involving other hobby, Reading. I love to read too, so I'm hoping to start on this soon!!
Kusudama paper flower - if I spelled that right, but something made out of paper. It kinda got squished but it's made out of magazines.
Flamingo Napkins - Something with favorite Animal, i have no idea what I'm gonna do with these but I don't want to use them as napkins.
Artic White Hot Chocolate - Favorite Drink. I don't care for coffee so these are definitely going to be used.

NOT PICTURED in the group shot

Choxie Chocolate - Something Edible... Dark Chocolate which melted on the way here and my nephew has already started munching on it.
Baking Chocolate - Kitchen Staple, which my sister is going to enjoy, I can't bake or cook but my sister does. Here are details.

Here are close up of everything else in thumbnail style!!! Smiley

18  Zombie Apocalypse in Stenciling: Completed Projects by SilentMynerva on: June 08, 2011 02:53:48 PM
I have wanted to try using the Freezer Paper forever. So I figured out that I might as well try when my boyfriend's younger brother was graduating from High School. So I picked an image about zombies because my boyfriend was making him a Zombie Survival Kit, so I thought a zombie shirt would go well with it.

As a first time, it has some flaws and was a pain in the butt because of all the tiny pieces that were part of the design. But in the end it was well liked by my family and the boyfriend's family. So here it is!!!

Let me know what you think! I'm very proud of it. And it was pretty awesome for a first time.

A friend of mine wanted a Snape stuffie and so I worked hard and make changes to a few patterns to introduce
Professor Severus Snape!

Let me know what you think. I spent long hours on him and the recipient is very happy with him.
He is made with crochet and filled with fiberfill and his outer robe is fabric that I cut and hemmed and made it work Smiley
