1  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Firemen Have Bigger Hoses on: May 25, 2008 04:20:16 PM
I made this top out of 2 more yard sale shirts. I like it a lot, it is super comfy. I think my DH's tshirts need to hide now, for their own safety.....

2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / Party Pirate with skull!!! on: May 24, 2008 04:51:55 PM
I had 4 (well, actually I had more, but I hused 4 here) old xL tshirts that i got at the same garage sale I got my corkboard at  (incedentally I also got some wooden embroidery hoops and some greta vintage jewelry there too). And I wanted to make some cute tops for summer.  I thought I would practice on tshirts before I went on to my nicer fabrics. I am very pleased with the way this one came out. I just made it up as I went along, and I had no idea it would be red white and blue but that's cool too. I might wear it this upcoming holiday (btw, Happy Memorial Day everybody!). Here are some pics, comments are welcome!

I was super bored today, and it was kinda gloomy outside so I made these rings. They are sheepskin leather that I have had for a while now, and they are handsewn.

5  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / 10 cent corkboard into spiffy chore chart (in progress) on: May 23, 2008 02:48:38 PM
I got this corkboard last winter for 10 cents and it has been collecting dust until now. I just saw a "How Clean is Your House?" Marathon and  I just HAD to make a chore chart so I remember what and when to clean. The paper is just scrapbooking paper I bought a while back mounted with a million of those little sticky squares. The bejelweled border is stickers. I will show the finished piece when I am done. Thanks for looking!!

6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Misc. Gift Idea Brain Blockage / what do I do with the pics I had made for him? on: May 03, 2008 02:05:54 PM
I had some pictures professionally done, and I wanted to do something cool with each of the poses to give to my husband as a gift for our anneversary. There are about 4 of them, so not enough to make  a book. What could I do with them?
7  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Flaming Backpack and hat, bday present for BIL (IMG Obese) on: April 25, 2008 08:32:50 AM
My brother in law is turning 14 this weekend, and he has been asking for a hat like my FIL has. I made him one out of a pattern my MIL drafted herself, and I also made him this cool camo backpack with a flame applique. It is my first time making a backpack and doing applique, and I think I did a fairly good job. I just made the pattern up in my head as I went along. I had to add the zipper by hand, but the bag will withstand the abuses of a high school boy. The lining is the same as the outside, and I used buckles and strapping to make it look like something storebought ( i know from experience how high schoolers like to tease kids with handmade stuff). I am extremely proud of myself.

8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / How do I dress like a "country " girl? on: April 23, 2008 03:29:15 PM
My hubby wants me to dress like a "country girl"....I should have saw it coming cause he is a REAL cowboy, and I am not really sure what that means. To me it looks like button down shits and jeans with boots. is there anywhere I can learn to make some "country" clothes? I'm kinda embarassed....I was born and raised in Houston.......you think I would know what a country girl looks like and be able to replicate the loook.....but...I was emo when emo wasn't cool, so........I have no clue. Huh

can anyone give me some pointers?

10  HOME SWEET HOME / Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General / Duct Tape Condom Dispenser *mature* on: January 31, 2008 07:29:44 PM
I made this condom dispenser today. I bought a box of condoms and cut the box it came in, in half. Then I taped both halves into a long box with a space at the end where the condoms come out. I googled some slang words for condoms and wrote them all over the box with a sharpie. It's ghetto, I know, but it can be easily hidden, and holds up to 35 condoms!
