250 camels is a lot, he must have liked you

Oh! and I have received!

I got 2 in the mail today.

the top one says "every time i make friends and just start having fun again..... every time I get close to people, I wonder. why do you treat each other like such $%*&? Do you treat me like that when I'm not around? It makes it hard to be happy and social at the same time. I think I'm getting too old for games"

I feel ya there. I think the exact same thing

the other one says "I just wanna be normal"

12  Re: Come one come all post your new tattoo IDEAS! in Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions by PhunkyThreads on: February 06, 2008 08:07:23 PM
I have thought long and hard about my first (and likely only) tattoo, and  I have decided I want a lower back (yes, I want ass antlers) tattoo. I want a heart with wings that looks exactly like my lucky belt buckle, with sparrows on eaither side, holding a ribbon that shows on either side of the tattoo, and just above the top of the heart. I want it to say "love only me"  with one word on each of the 3 sections of ribbon. I also want it in color with a red heart, white wings, and blue and yellow (with a hint of red) sparrows. I wish I could draw and show you what I am talking about. but here are the pics I used for inspiration.

my buckle:

I like this sparrow for my tat, I can easily picture two of them on either side of the heart, holding the ribbon in their beaks

I could also do these sparrows, but I really like the first one

I just saw these and I LOVE THEM!
(exactly what  I want)

any ideas on where to find an artist who can draw out my tattoo idea?

14  Duct Tape Condom Dispenser *mature* in Crafty Housewares: Completed Projects: General by PhunkyThreads on: January 31, 2008 07:29:44 PM
I made this condom dispenser today. I bought a box of condoms and cut the box it came in, in half. Then I taped both halves into a long box with a space at the end where the condoms come out. I googled some slang words for condoms and wrote them all over the box with a sharpie. It's ghetto, I know, but it can be easily hidden, and holds up to 35 condoms!

15  Rosy Nipples and pearls in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by PhunkyThreads on: January 31, 2008 02:53:41 PM
I have seen so many pasties on here, I just had to make some for me!

I now have  a nasty blister on my finger form the hot glue (that gives me the advantage of flipping people off and getting away with it) but I am now the proud owner of my very first sets  of pasties!

They were made with rose ribbon and seafoam green faux pearls on green felt.

16  Vintage Kimono Clutch in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by PhunkyThreads on: January 26, 2008 06:04:33 PM
I bought this cool vintage obi fabric off ebay a while ago and decided to make a clutch out of th entire panel. I put red metallic fabric in as  a lining and sealed it all in with black bias tape. I like bigger purses but I think it looks pretty cool, what do you think?

17  Very Victorian Reticule from 2 napkins in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by PhunkyThreads on: January 22, 2008 07:22:20 PM
I found 2 gorgeous napkins at a thrift shop last fall for about a dollar each. I bought them and forgot about them for a while, until I was looking for something to do to keep me sane. I decided a victorian reticule is what it needed to be.  Upon examining the napkins, I found that they were actually handmade, which made them even more of a treasure.  Grin I put them together and added all the beads myself, a process that took about 6 hours. I put the bads on the front and the back, so it would all look the same.  I have no life.

18  My First Lingerie *NOW WITH NEW PICS!!* (img obese) in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by PhunkyThreads on: January 21, 2008 09:06:24 PM
I made this nightie with no pattern to go on but the surpice tute at whatthecraft.com  I think I made the top too tight, cause I am too busty for this, and it has a 6-inch gap when I tie it. I am trying to get out of wearing pajama bottoms and tshirts, and thought I could make my own nighties. I despise patterns (made from tissue that rips easily and can be needlessly complicated) and made the thing up in my head as I went along. My great grandma was a professional seamstress who had her own successful dress shop, and my awesome grandma passes her skills down to me, though I am nowhere near being a professional.

****UPDATE********

I fixed my nightie. I found some vintage lace and some pink ribbon and trimmed it up, after shortening the hem. I even put lace on the straps. I made the panties using a pair I already had as a guide. I think it went well, they are a bit uneven, but it's my first pair of panties, so I will just practice making them.  I think this version looks waaay sexier that the original.  What do you think?

A lady at church is having a great-grandchild soon, so I made this for her (its a girl)

I did a very large granny square and went around the edges with triple crochet, then double crocheted the last part.

underneath it is the awesome blanket DH's great aunt made us as a wedding gift
