Love it!  I think that is adorable.  I'm not one for crocheted purses either, but this is super nice.

Wow that looks really nice!  I've never even noticed the pattern in that book...you make me want to make it.

Thanks for the comments everyone!

Cataplum- I don't know of anything on the internet, but I think the leaf design is called a pineapple.  I remember reading in the book about how the designer took doiley patterns and turned them into this skirt and other things.  So try that.

And FYI, the pink slip is actually a nighty.  I could not find a colored slip anywhere so I got that on super clearence from Belk.  It's nice.

I've made the short-n-sweet twice.  The first time I did the stitch totally wrong!  I don't know if I just made something up or I misunderstood or what.  Once you learn the stitch and get past the first five or six rows, everything is just exactly the same and you really don't even have to pay much attention to the pattern..  You should give it a try.  Just look up the f-post stitch or whatever and make absolutely sure you have that right.

ALSO, look at the et.era thing on the internet.  And here:

Scroll towards the middle.  I can't remember if that diagram is in the boook or not but it totally saved me!  I can't read patterns very well, but following diagrams is easier.

lglass (https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=206744.0) inspired me to make this skirt.  It took me about a week.  I have never gotten so many compliments on a crochet project (or a skirt that I was wearing) before.  I wish I had better pictures to post.

The pink on the bottom was actually the best mistake ever.  I ran out of the brown and Hobby Lobby was out of extras.
