1  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Re: Tim Burton's Corpse Bride doll![IMG OBESE] on: November 27, 2008 07:19:11 AM
My boyfriend bought me a corpse bride doll years ago for my birthday, and your handmade one looks even better!
The little bits of detail such as the crown and the zip are just fantastic.

Sounds like you had a bit of a mare with your swap, but what an amazing swap item to recieve from your angel!

Aw they're cute! What will you do with them?

Am hoping to get a real christmas tree this year, so will be putting them on that,
Or dotting them around the house claiming its to keep the fairies warm!!

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Really simple mini crochet sweaters on: October 13, 2008 02:51:08 AM
Using the mini sweaters pattern from marcisenders.typepad.com, I have now made about a billion(!!!) of these little things.

With my 2mm crochet hook for sizing.

They are a really really simple and quick stashbuster that any novice like myself will enjoy : )

Beautiful, both your dd and the jacket.

I love the colours youve used, and your wee one will grow into it!!

7  KNITTING / Knitting: Completed Projects / Re: Half of my face is paralyzed: I knit an eye patch! Also, Talk Like A Pirate Day! on: September 18, 2008 01:59:14 AM
This is fantastic!!
When my mum was in the hospice, she found out her cancer had spread to her brain which pressed on her optical nerve, and so was presented with a plain eyepatch, which I then stole and embroidered a skull and crossbones onto!! She laughed herself silly when I showed her a picture of what she looked like with it on. Its one of my favourite memories of mum!!

I also have a naturally wonky smile and have been told a thousand times that its rather hot!!

It's really cute. You're right, the eyes do look evil! Smiley

Sadly no matter what I do, the eyes still look a wee bit evil!
Hope I dont give the baby nightmares!
