1  queen of hearts bikini just the top :) in Projects from the Stitch 'N B**ch Books by Debbie Stoller by joanita on: October 19, 2008 06:12:41 PM
so i attempted to make the top part for the bikini using the pattern in the SnB book and it came out too big and i'm tiny(i made the small size) so i gave it to my friend (she's a 36 d!!!) and she loved it so i tried tweaking it a lil bit and it came out soo good i made 3 lol i only have a pic for the pink one tho. I used to wear it with every  revealing top i had Tongue and people loved it i dont kno how i managed to alter the sizing because i did this awhile back and i cant even remember how to cast on anymore lol. well enough chit chat heres the pic:

close up
i think it looks cute all tho it would look even cuter with the heart. *must re-read book*

what you guys think?

ragadyann: it is indeed lacy goodnes.♥

Randommarble: the skirt is a circle skirt I used this tute: https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=34064.0  ♥

MissWednesday: i winged the tops but used an old pair of dickies for the shorts.♥

rayno24: i dunno what type of fabric it is all i know is that it's really slinky and stretchy. kinda like rayon?.♥

scissorchic: you should definetely try wingin it you'd be suprised and stretchy fabric is really forgiving. try simple things and challenge yourself. sewing is really relaxing for me and i almost never get mad when i mess something up.♥

ibimus: happy accident, it was suppossed to have an even hem, he he.♥

how to's:

the coverup^^^

wrap top^^

this is how i make puff sleeves^^^

sorry for the poor quality tutes i wish i could make one of those nice pictorials but my digicam dosen't pick up details AT ALL.

thanks so much to every body who replied it means a lot to me.

7  my brand new glam plugs [earrings] in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by joanita on: July 28, 2005 07:15:45 PM
I made these because i was a 'lil bored with my plain old tunnels. I have my ears stretched to a size 0 [zero] and 0 sized plugs are 8mm, sooo I bought these beads [the label on  them said they were jade... hot pink jade?!?! oh well] and threaded some wire through them and inserted hot  pink beads through the wire, and I also incorporated the little fur ball that were from some old earrings my sis had lying around. Then I put them on only to find that they were to heavy in the front and made them fall out, so I added a chain to the back using those metal circles that are used to join jewelry together, whew what a long story... here's the pics

thanx to my xboyfriend for those super high res pictures  Tongue

8  twisty top with *TUTORIAL* fixed links MAJOR APOLOGIES!!!! in Clothing: Completed Projects: General by joanita on: July 25, 2005 01:14:13 AM
ok so i saw this top   http://www.urbanoutfitters.com/images/us/local/products/productsall/p179841b.jpg    and I fell in love but I was not crazy about spending $38 for something so simple besides what's the fun in that
so this is what i came up with

i tried to use this tute: http://www.livejournal.com/community/t_shirt_surgery/1664014.html but it always came out wrong, so I adapted it [cuz I suck at following tutes]
here's the lil' how to:

**cut one backpiece [make sure it's about 3" longer than the two front pieces], two fronts and two strips about 3" with  the shape illustrated above. you can use an old shirt for measurements or measure yourself.
please excuse my terrible english.
1-grab the two strips and sew them onto the inner corner of each front piece.

2-lineup the two strips with the front pieces. if everything's ok, move on to step 3

3-twist those strips till they're lined up again with the front pieces.

4-sew the strips to the front pieces and now you have one full piece

5-grab the backpiece and sew it to the front piece. you're done!

I used stretchy knit fabric so I didn't need to hem it [it was all I had anyway] But you can use anything you want.

close up of gathered front

If you guys want I could try and make a tute although this is one of those projects that are one time wonders cuz I basically made it as I went but I could get some more fabric and try.  Smiley

10  my very own hip pack, woot. FIXED!!! in Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General by joanita on: April 23, 2005 05:34:40 PM
I saw these hipbags but theyre so damn expensive http://www.slimnyc.com/slimNYC.htm [go to shop] and I thought I could make something like it.
so practical and kinda cute. I used the lined zipper pouch technique and added a strap in the middle so it could fold down and a dded a inside pocket.

^^^jazzed up with 1" buttons

^^^ it's about 10" deep
lace goes all the way to the back

hope ya like!
