1  Re: Craft My Celebrity Crush Gallery in The Swap Gallery by ravenwcatz on: December 03, 2008 05:14:15 PM
I told you pics were coming.  Tongue

Beside my much loved copy of The Fountainhead, is now a much loved mug... complete with mugshots (GET IT???) of my three favorite men.  RDA on one side...

The Eddie side.  He is such a pretty man...

A Mac snowglobe (It says I <3 RDA on the other side)

and, last but not least, pins with RDA, Eddie, and Danny Kaye (who wasn't on my list, but I mentioned later on, so bonus points Capt. Janeway!)

All in all, a most wonderful and fun swap!

'ho my god, craftsters.  Was I ever spoiled ROTTEN on this swap.

THIS ominous looking sign was the first thing I noticed...

But everything inside was fine!   ^_^

I'm pretty sure this is the holy grail of stockings.  Just putting that out there.  After this, there is NO WAY i'm making a stocking out of my own pattern EVER AGAIN.

Inside we found a loverly soft scarf!  (And a giant hershey kiss, omnomnom)
...Excuse the terribleness of this photo.

poorly taken action shot of said scarf.

What might this be?

It's an ADVENT CALENDAR.  It appears my partner and I were sharing a brainwave.  Tongue

(A few (like... two) of the goodies fell out of some of the dates, so I arbitrarily picked this one to go in the first day... ^_^)

Last but not least, I was gifted with some adorable stationery that just happens to be COVERED IN BEES!  as a tribute to my undying devotion to the glory that is Eddie Izzard.

Thank you SO MUCH. This swap package was absolutely amazing.  ^_^

Hooray swag!

I recieved my package today!

My girls, showing off the goods

An adorable crochet dress that looks absolutely smashing on Berlin, along with a crochet cap.  (Spencer is eyeing the cap at the moment, but I'm not sure how it will fit on a Dal head, and I'm too lazy to take off her hood to find out atm  Tongue )

And the sweet dress with a paw-print skirt Smiley  It matches Zephyr's hair almost exactly!

Thank you Star and Isis!

I mentioned I'd post here with a little extra info about my girls.  First off, the pictures, so I can show off their pretty faces.  Smiley

This is Berlin.  She is an aspiring photographer.  Her secret dream is to go to Africa with Sir Bob Geldof and photograph the beauty of Africa, to inspire people to help the plight of the people there... or maybe just to meet Sir Bob.  Whatever.  She is a very versatile girl, a little silly, a little serious.

This is Zephyr, Berlin's best friend and roommate.  She is the more serious of the two.  She is a subway musician, but moonlights as a graphic artist for several Fortune 500 companies.  She doesn't understand Berlin's sudden fascination with Africa, though she does get a kick out of the various photos and snippets about Sir Bob that Berlin has hidden throughout the house.  Zephyr has a definate fiery side, but she is generally the more grounded of the two.

As previously stated, I am unable to participate in this swap due to time/monetary constraints, but I couldn't help jumping on the picture bandwagon.

She is my Dranei Hunter.  (Only lv. 19 right now, but seeing as I've only had her a week, I'm pleased with myself.)

I don't really have a "main" as such, I play Sonnescheint (the pic) frequently now, but prior to that, I played mostly with a Night Elf hunter.  I love them both equally... Smiley

6  Re: Altoid Tin Theme Swap Round 10 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by ravenwcatz on: March 05, 2008 07:01:57 AM
Hooray!  I'm finally posting pictures of the wonderful tin that Lucy Van Pelt sent me!!!

Isn't it wonderful!  It was so stuffed with goodies I don't know how she got it closed!
She chose my Victorian/Edwardian theme, and it's so lovely!

The inside of the tin.  I love the bow!

An adorable brocade and felt heart pin, and a tiny heart with a turtle!

vintagey stickers, beads, buttons, and this awesome british flag charm!

There are a few other charms, some calming tea (just what I need!) and some really cute lace too!

Thank you Lucy Van Pelt!

This is Berlin modeling the cloak and muffler that we made for Shiori.  I forgot to take pics of the other stuff though, so I'll leave those honors to her.   Tongue

So... My computer was being stupid, but I can post pics of what Smushisweetbaboo sent me now!  Hooray!

The Valentine's outfit. (and the skirt is so versatile with other things too!) I noticed quickly that Zephyr's stockings matched this very well.

Berlin in her "Leprotto" Cape.  She claimed this one straight out of the package.

Zephyr modeling the red ensemble

...and the Blue one!

Thank you so much for the awesome stuff! Both my girls love it (Though Zephyr is modeling most of it, since I had just redressed Berlin, and I had *never* taken Zephyr out of her stock before)

info sent!

And while we're waiting, I'll show you Berlin.

I made her scarf while I was waiting for her to arrive.  I would like to make her a better one though, it's a bit scratchy.

10  Re: Christmas Stocking Swap 3 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by ravenwcatz on: November 30, 2007 02:11:49 PM
Ok... so Missapril TOTALLY rocked my socks right off my feet this Christmas.

My stocking, in absolutely LOVELY colors.  They made such a neat pattern on the stocking too!

And the goodies just got better and better!

This was absolutely lovely!  It was done from the design of a shirt that I have been lusting after for AGES.  I couldn't believe it when I pulled it out!

Some of the lovely goodies from my stocking.  It looks like I'll be taking *good* care of myself this winter! There's a piece of "coal" (it's really soap) in the little container!

The card was absolutely lovely!  As was all the other ephemera!  (Unfortunately, my camera wanted to blur them all...)  She even made me a mini scrapbook to fill!

Inside the scrapbook!

And finally, Knitty's Fetching!  (which, ironically, was the pattern that made me really want to learn to cable... just so I could make them)  They have not left my hands since I opened them!

Thank you so much Missapril!
