1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Quilted leopard wristlet ! on: July 06, 2010 02:13:42 PM
I made my best friend a leopard skirt for this wedding we had to go to and made a matching wristlet to go with it.

It's was pretty easy to make. I decided to add 2 layers of batting to it to make it different and because the material is very very thin.

The detail on the wrist loop. And on certain occasions it can also double as a pillow ! lol
2  JEWELRY AND TRINKETS / Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General / 1st Post in Jewelry!!! on: September 27, 2009 05:08:52 PM
This is my 1st post in jewelry...so i got into this because my grandma wanted some earrings and necklaces and she couldn't find what she wanted...so on to the pix !

This was originally this big gaudy necklace..it had like 3 strands of wooden beads and then these seashells...it was just way too much...so i refashioned it and made earrings and a braclet out of the leftover beads. This was my first jewelry project.

The pendent used was brought from Michale's it was on sale for like 2 dollars...i had to have it. The beads are chocolate brown with red/gold undertones.

It took me forever to thread these chips but i love how it came out! Has matching braclet and earrings.

6  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Baby Showers And Gifts For New Babies / My 1st nephew!! 1st baby shower cake!! lots of pictures!!! on: October 03, 2008 10:46:45 PM
So tomorrow is my sister's baby shower and this is her first baby and she is having a boy! This is also my first nephew so I'm extra exicted!! here are the pix. so i requested the help of my best friend who is a pasrty school student and she was so excited to help. the guidelines where whatever you want as long as it was 1/2 strawberry and 1/2 plain....so with that this is what she came up with

this is the middle of the cake....she made 2 cakes and layered them..and one side is strawberry..and the filling is not like the jam..its pasrty cream made with strawberries amd then she sliced straberries on top

this is a closer pix

after she made a second layer...she put it on top and then she added a layer of butter cream, she put it in the refridge and then added another layer to make it all smooth then she took an edge tool to decorate the sides of the cake.

making the piping...she used navy blue food coloring and some of the buttercream frosting

this is the edge design she did all around the bottom of the cake

and thisis the whole cake...finished...his name is Jai Pierre Little!!!

a close up of the swirl pattern in the frosting.

a chocolate sucker that i made. it says It's a boy...made like 12 of these..it was so easy

pix of my friend...she was in the middle of coughing...and i couldnt resist!!!

I am still cooking and there is no telling what time i am goin to bed considering i still have to make the tablecloths!!!... a sisters work is never done..i will be takin pics tomorrow so there will be more...

thanks for lookin..comments are more than welcomed!

7  PAPER CRAFTS, SCRAPBOOKING & ATCs (ARTIST TRADING CARDS) / Scrapbooking: Completed Projects / My song book!!!!!!!! 1st post in this topic!!!!!! on: September 26, 2008 05:58:42 PM
so for a project i had to do in a design fundamentals class...we had to pick the top five songs that have important meaning to us and artistically express that song....the songs i used went by my age. youngest to oldest..(at the time of the project i was 18)....the songs in order are:

R. Kelly "I Believe I Can Fly"
Mariah Carey " Hero"
Eminem "Mosh"
Not Another Teen Movie "Prom Tonight"
Greenday "Blvd of Broken Dreams"

the cover page

I sang this song at my 8th gr. graduation...many people have....my fav part is about the hands reaching the sky

I also sang this song at my ribbon pinning and since i was in 8th gr. when 9/11 happened...this is what this song reminded me of...all the people in new york and how we came together as a country.

This is my fav Eminem song. if you havent heard it you really should. watch the video!!!!!! The part that i did was "look in his eyes, its all lies, the stars and stripes have ben swiped and washed out in white...."

a close up of the eyes....

I love the movie Not Another Teen Movie my senior year of high school me and my friends sang the Prom Tonight song....at least twice a day....and if you have seen the movie then you know the meaning behind my pix

I love this greenday song!!! and my senior year of high school was difficult...and this song represented excatly how i felt...

close up of "me and my shadow"

Thanx for looking ..comments are welcomed....and since the book is not done because i only had to pick 5 songs...imma gonna finish and fill the book up!!!!
