Would like to know where I can find pictorial or video tutorials on wet felting 3D objects preferrably free. like making knobs and bobbles and things sticking out. animals or imaginary critters. Is there a good youtube channel you recommend?

3  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Bucket Style hat pattern wanted on: February 17, 2012 06:52:02 AM
Not sure if this is the right place to ask, but years ago, (about 5-6 years) I found a free sewing pattern online for a bucket style hat. I made one for hubby out of an old pair of jeans and he loved it! I want to sew him another one but can't find the pattern anywhere! I want to say it was a hat pattern for a woman (or man) or maybe for a chemo patient. -but i'm not 100% sure.

Does anyone know of the pattern I want or a similar one? I know there are plenty to buy, but looking for this particular one.. and free is always nice!

5  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Crocheted ear flap hats on: January 10, 2012 06:06:45 PM
Technically, it's not a completed project cause I haven't sewn on the flowers yet. Does it still count to post here?

Made these with odds and ends of Plymouth Encore yarn. I've got two more to make before I'm done.

If anyone wants the pattern links for these, email me.

Great job on the hats. I too have discovered crocheting ear flap hats and loving it! lol

I like the hello kitty one and the owl!
7  CROCHET / Crochet: Discussion and Questions / Re: Hoarding my yarn stash has to stop! on: January 02, 2012 06:55:07 AM
Since I last wrote, I have gotten even more free yarn from friends and decided to use the stash up by making some hats for the homeless in our area. I found a nice pattern via craftster for this project!
8  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing in General: Discussion and Questions / Re: New to sewing....ugh. on: December 26, 2011 06:05:55 PM
I'm sort of in the same boat and encouraged to keep practicing more. I used to sew all my own clothes years ago, but haven't for a long time and now that I'm trying it again, I find that I am terrible at it! lol
9  SEWING IN GENERAL / Sewing Machines: Discussion and Questions / Question about Brother 2500 on: December 26, 2011 06:04:12 PM
I just got a brother 2500 and very happy with it but I am having trouble with the piece that comes off to sew free arm style. It says it is an accessory holder but when I remove it and then try to put it back on, all the pieces fall out. What am I doing wrong?

I've heard good things about the Janome Sew Mini.

They run about $50. Some say you can get them at Joann's or Hancock's for less. I was looking into getting one but decided I wanted to sew more than i thought, so I bought a Brother 2500 for $75. I'm very happy with this purchase!
