Nice job.  I LOVE the fabric, and I glad to hear that cork is easy to work with. . . I haven't been bold enough to use it yet.

Great job -front and back- I love how you chart out your quilts on graph paper- very cool.

4  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / BB-8 quilt on: December 27, 2017 04:01:44 PM
I finished this just in time for Christmas.
The back is composed of X-Wings (aka Bowtie blocks):

I hated to give this one away.

The pattern is from Hunter's Design Studio.

Hot off the sewing machine is this cutie.  It's from a free (and easy) pattern from the fat quarter shop.
I'm in love.
6  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Giraffe family quilt on: June 04, 2017 10:26:10 AM
This quilt came from a pattern from Sew Fresh Quilts.  I pieced the bottom of the quilt using leftover leaf fabric instead of the plain green strip called for in the pattern. Although the instructions were clear, it still took me a long time to finish.

The back is Origami Oasis by Michael Miller:
7  QUILTING / Quilting: Completed Projects / Playful pinwheel on: March 27, 2017 01:10:16 PM
Sorry I haven't posted in ages, but here's my latest. . .

It is a pinwheel pattern that has been modified using the Lazy Angle by Lazy Girl Quilts.  I used an abandoned quilt idea for the back*:

*I went through a phase of buying too many charm packs.

any step-by-step resources would be welcome.:[ /quote]
You can find a lot of information on paper piecing online.  If you are looking for books, Carol Doak is the queen of paper piecing.

Those are lovely!  I really like the Van Gogh one, did you get the fabric from Spoonflower?
Thanks for the compliments. I got both fabrics from Joann's, surprisingly enough.  Also, I forgot to mention that the pattern is from Michelle Patterns, tho' I modified the construction.
