22  CROCHET / Crochet: Completed Projects / Hockey puck on: May 06, 2010 06:49:25 AM
Back in December I made my daughter the huge donut that was posted on here for her birthday. After she got it my son promptly asked for a Blue's hockey puck but it had to be as big as his sister's donut. Working while he was at school this is what I gave him, (this was the only picture I had that was decent)
23  Archive of Past Craftster Challenge Entries / CHALLENGE 50 ENTRIES / Crafty t-shirt for my daughter on: May 06, 2010 06:46:36 AM
As soon as I heard of this challenge I printed out the image but its just been staring at me for an entire month. Finally my  daughter asked what I was going to do with it and we came up with the idea of a shirt, but she wanted it for her. So I made her help!! She wanted blue and purple and this was our finished project: (sorry the yarn ball looks dark, guess my lighting is off!!!

25  CLOTHING / Clothing for Kids: Completed Projects / Re: Mittens from a picture on: March 05, 2010 03:50:11 AM
its fabric that comes in a set of 12 near the iron ons. You use your regular printer (you can find an image on the computer and print directly on it). I just used the copy function of the computer. You peel off the backing and its fabric.  Hope that makes sense
Mine is "inkjet printing cotton sheets" made by Jacouard, but there are many different makers out there, you jsut have to make sure that its the cotton sheets not a transfer paper.

Not sure if this goes here, but my son made mittens in art class and brought the picture home. My first thought was I had to make these for him. So I copied his picture onto fabric through my printer and then cut two pieces (per mitten) of black fleece I had on hand. I sandwiched the picture between and sewed. He loves them and has worn them everyday since. Now my daughter wants some!

I had some green poly clay that I found and couldn't resist trying something cute. So I tried a frog, I normally just make things for my kids out of poly clay but decided to show this one to you guys (so be gentle!!) Smiley Sorry no in process photos, I was too excited that everyone I showed actually knew it was a frog
Anyway, on to pictures:

28  TOYS, DOLLS AND PLAYTHINGS / Toys, Dolls and Playthings: Completed Projects / Indoor soccer ball on: January 25, 2010 09:48:38 AM
This is a very quick (3 hours) indoor soccer ball for my son. It is by NO means perfect but it is fun. I used old t-shirts and stuffed it will scraps of fabric. Next time i will do a WHOLE bunch of things different but it made him happy.
29  CROCHET / Crochetalongs / Re: Socks, Slippers, and other toe warmers on: December 12, 2009 06:57:31 AM
I finished one:

The toe part is a little weird but that is because I got a little anxious and started decreasing too soon so I had to single crochet a couple of times to get length. Oh well I'll fix that. On to starting the next one to make a pair. Thanks for the the crochetalong, i never would have tried this.

I have to get to Joann's tomorrow so I might just pick up some sock yarn and try this, I've been wanting to make socks too and keep pouring over patterns but do nothing. I'll post a picture if I get them done, hopefully before christmas!!
