11  Re: Disney R.6 Gallery in The Swap Gallery by Rhiannon Sarah on: November 26, 2007 03:48:36 PM
By the way, I totally received on Friday - which was great coz I really needed it! Such a great pick me up. Smiley

Anyway - pics! I tried posting earlier, but my home putor was being nasty, and I had to upgrade software... but, onto the pics!!

We thought it'd be great to swap postcards of our cities... I didn't realise Texas was so big! But then again, it is oil country...

Kuzco Earrings!

Greatest blanket ever.

Thanks so much RikaHeart! It's all so wonderful!! Cheesy

I is so happy with my first swap! I hope you love your stuff as much as I do yours! Though, I have to admit, mine isn't going to be quite as numerous, but, hopefully you shall still enjoy. Cheesy Cheesy Cheesy

He He! Hows about a teaser! I should be able to post on Saturday, if not, than Monday. I can't wait!!!  Cheesy

I'm so excited... I have to admit though - I haven't taken disney theme literally at all, just used it as a diving board for ideas... But just wait, I'm sure my partner can explain it all to you when she gets it!  Roll Eyes

14  Dress not working and looking bad!! Suggestions please? in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by Rhiannon Sarah on: October 30, 2007 03:55:23 AM
I really wanted to start this project. I was all excited about my first no pattern piece. Then things happened - not as much material as I thought, being a bit more difficult, measuring 5 times, but obviously over looking something... Anyway, this is the finished dress. And I hates it. I love the colour, the basic idea, but it doesn't look right.

Any suggestions on how to fix it? Make it presentable, wearable, but without adding too much extra material??? Oh yeah, and I'm running out of blue cotton too - but I have lots of white!!! (Please excuse the mess - haven't put away any washing for weeks...)

15  Very Bland Rented Home needing some Homey Touches (Pic Heavy) in Interior Decorating: Discussion and Questions by Rhiannon Sarah on: October 30, 2007 12:51:32 AM
We've been in this house for nearly a year (come January), and I am sorry to say, but I have done so little with it, it's now making me upset and grumpy. I thought it was finished at one point, but looking at it now, it's just not good enough. So - I need your help. It's a rented house, so no painting or permanent fixtures.

Basic Tastes - my partner and I both enjoy Asian themes. Other than that, I'm more colourful and alternative, and he's more black and white. My brother who also lives with us, doesn't really mind so long as it's not too girly.

My Loungeroom - perhaps a movie theme (we loves our movies!) but although its large, as is most of the house, there is little wall space. There is a broken closed in fireplace/hearth to the left of picture 2 - but it's got a pic of me up there. A glamour shot I had done a year or two ago that I didn't think that you would want to see...

My Kitchen/Dining Area - we don't actually eat in here, we eat in the lounge room while watching TV. The bird has to stay - messy, but no where else that my boyfriend will let him go to. (That's my man in Pic 2!)

My Hallways - most of the lights in our house don't work, so the hallway is usually dark, except for that light at the end of pic 1. That works - thankfully. (Sorry about the angle - my work Mac doesn't like rotated pictures) The pictures you can kinda see in Pic 1 are to the left(bottom) is a film strip from Star Wars of my boyfriends, and to the right (top) there is a large picture of Boba Fett, also my boyfriends, and a smaller family one just next to the door too.

I've left the bedroom off, coz I have some ideas for that. Same as the Study - sort of.

But if I could please get your help on these projects please, because I'm really, really stuck. And grumpy.  Undecided

16  Car Ideas Abound! What to do? in Discussion and Questions by Rhiannon Sarah on: October 29, 2007 06:31:13 PM
I have so many ideas for my car, that I think that if I were to do all of them, it'd look overdone, but if I didn't, I feel I would be missing out.  Undecided

I have a Red 2 door 2001 Hyundai Accent (see below for example - not my actual car. I don't have a wing), and I want to make yellow seat covers for it. Shaped ones, not bags. Then, I also want to put a picture of cheese on each seat. Like, Camembert, Blue, Gouda, Swiss... Then, I was thinking, maybe make some cheese cushions to go in the back. And how about a bagel too. And what about Foamy the Squirrel, if we're talking about cheese and bagels. And then, I really want a watermelon airfreshener to go in the car - Watermelon and cheese (Sesame Street surprisingly). But, I also like Gir, and they don't have any Foamy decals, but they got some good Gir ones... What to do!!!  Huh

P.S. - If you don't know who Gir or Foamy the Squirrel is, let me know - I'll forward you onto them. Cheesy

Any help would be greatly appreciated. I'm bored with my car... I may even add a sub. Cheesy Yeah the Bass!

17  Re: Dusky Blue Lycra and Chiffon Dress - What to make?? in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by Rhiannon Sarah on: October 08, 2007 06:47:15 PM
These are some of the ideas I have so far - they're pictures of my drawings, so they look a bit odd.

What do you think??

18  Retro 1960's Dress - Want to Make in Clothing: Discussion and Questions by Rhiannon Sarah on: October 08, 2007 01:45:18 AM
I'm looking to make a 1960's mini dress - similar to the ones in Austin Powers 2. (I have a bit of a love obsession with that movie) A bit like the pic below - just without the sleeves. Maybe.

But I'm having a lot of difficulty finding the right fabric and the right pattern. I think I might just wing it with the pattern in the end anyway - but for the fabric, I was thinking paisley, or maybe huge swirls, or maybe a mix of both. Or maybe cherries... Anyway, finding these fabrics is difficult - so I was thinking, perhaps I could paint my own!!!

Now, I'm stuck. What fabric do I use, what paint/dye/technique do I use? Any suggestions??

19  Felicty Shagwell - Pink and Orange Crocheted Dress in Crochet: Discussion and Questions by Rhiannon Sarah on: October 08, 2007 12:04:31 AM
I want to make me my very own pink and orange crocheted dress - just like the one Feliciy Shagwell wore in Austin Powers 2.

For some reason, there is a real lack of pictures of it on the internet, and very, very few dress patterns too. But, this is the best pic I've found so far...  Undecided

I'm also very new to crocheting - but very enthusiastic. Can anyone suggest where I can begin, or a pattern by anychance??
