11  MISCELLANEOUS TOPICS / Discussion and Questions / Re: Present for friend with Raynaud's on: November 26, 2010 02:37:35 PM
I have Raynaud's, and honestly, I can't have too many socks and gloves.  Not very inventive, I know, but if you knew HOW MANY pairs are un-paired from rushing around in the car and lost to various parkinglots and shopping carts....yyyyeah.  If I had a friend who was thoughtful enough to make me a few pairs of socks and gloves say from some really cool recycled sweaters, I'd be so touched Smiley
If you were in the buying mode, I did have a great pair of socks that my hubs bought for me that were battery warmed.  The downside was that I couldn't wash them easily (hand wash) and they needed those huge D batteries.
Good luck on your thoughful quest!
12  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / What are YOU making for holiday gifts? on: November 26, 2010 02:22:44 PM
I have little motivation this year, so I'm hoping that by hearing what everyone else is creating it will prod me to get the lead out and finish my own projects!  We cheated a little this year, making a couple of photo books for grandparents (hey, it was a KILLER Groupon and tooooo stinkin easy!) I still have to make stuff for my sister and her fixture boyfriend, both are half working actors with collective oddjobs  of Fake Casino Card Dealer (for parties), the inside puppeteer for a giant polar bear suit for a certain soda company, a promotional model and a nanny.  They are super quirky and have amazing senses of humor so I'm trying to appeal to that!

Whatchall got goin' on?
