I love the tulip skirt, probably because I bought the same fabric Smiley  The smocking looks great, good job!

Thankyou! I wonder why I didn't find it, I was going through the forums.   Oh well, thanks again!
5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / Help with a neckline? on: March 13, 2011 11:23:07 AM
I've zipped in and out of several forums trying to find the appropriate place to post my question, so if this isn't the right forum I appologize and would gladly take direction to the correct one!

Has anyone made this dress?
I'm trying to make the sleeveless dress from Simplicity's Project Runway 2927, but the directions for the neckline are sparse and not informative at all for someone trying this yoke for the first time.  It had me cut a lot of pieces for it, but I can only see how to logically use half of them and then actually putting them on the dress doesn't make sense!  I was hoping someone had some insight on this, I've searched the internet for a tutorial but it looks like there hasn't been one posted anywhere yet.  I think I might do that if I ever get it right!

Beautiful job!  I've been holding onto my old slides (from when I thought I was going to art school) to do something like this, and I think seeing the finished project is going to kick me into gear!
10  OCCASIONS AND HOLIDAYS / Winter Holidays / Re: What are YOU making for holiday gifts? on: November 28, 2010 05:16:08 AM
Wow, I wish people would TELL me what they wanted, haha!
My brother and his family are difficult, my sister in law is one of those people who has no regard for handmade.  If it isn't new and expensive she places very little value on it.  She'll smile and make nice but you can see later that it's wadded up in a corner under other things she isn't pleased with :/

AND I wish I'd learn to crotchet, already! Hahaha that would open up so many other options!
