1  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / 7-inch Record Bag WIP on: August 28, 2007 11:09:11 PM
HI there Smiley

My boyfriend mentioned a few times that he'd like to have a bag like this to carry around his 7-inches:

(by now, he uses a suitcase, but this is very uncomfortable to carry)

So I thought of making a bag like this. The Bag in the pics costs about 80 Euros, that would be approx. 110 USD.
I think it should be possible to make one for less, what do you think?

Does any of you have ever made a similar bag? Comments and suggestions would be great Smiley Smiley Smiley

for my BF's birthday, I gave him an mp3 player and I also made him a little bag to store it. It has got a velcro closure on the inside.

what do you think?

4  BATH AND BEAUTY / Bath and Beauty: Discussion and Questions / foundation for really pale skin on: March 26, 2006 11:04:55 PM
Hi there,
I need your advice.
My skin color is really pale and kind of pinkish. And I want a foundation. And this seems to be a problem. Undecided
This is my face:

Every foundation in every drugstore that I tried was either too dark, or it was pale, but kind of yellowish, which looks weird on my face.

Do you guys have any suggestions where to get the right foundation for my skin tone? I'm in Germany, but I would also appreciate online stores where I could mailorder.

5  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: Reconstructed / old long skirt to new shorter skirt on: March 10, 2006 12:03:33 AM
my mom had this floor-length hippie skirt in like xxs, which was very cool, but i wear size m Undecided

so i made a new skirt out of it, which is now knee-length. I didn't use a pattern, just cut away a lot of the top and a bit of the bottom and put a new zipper into it.

i really like this vintage fabric Smiley

i took away the picture, spraypainted the frame in gold an then i put nails into the back of the frame. i bent yarn between the nails like in a loom.

this is what it looks like from the back:

and this is the front, with earrings on it:

tell me what you think:)

9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Discussion and Questions / Handbag out of Leather Pants? on: August 23, 2005 02:59:32 AM
I have a pair aof brown suede leather pants. I bought them about 12 years ago. For the last 10 years, they didn't fit me. Now that I've lost some weight, they do fit me, but I don't like them anymore. They're waist-high and have a straight cut. Really, they're not cool.

So I thought of reconstructing them to a leather handbag. What do you think? Will that work? I have never sewn leather before, but I think my machine will handle it. I just don't know what kind of pattern, closure, and how to line it...

suggestions are welcome!
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Gipsy skirt on: August 01, 2005 01:09:59 AM
Finally, I managed to make a gipsy skirt, too. I love it.  Smiley
I just hope it doesn't look ridiculous when I wear it in Spain?
Well I'll be a tourist, anyway. Tourists always look kinda stupid Grin
