1  IMAGE REPRODUCTION TECHNIQUES / Other Image Reproduction Techniques: Discussion and Questions / DIY stickers? on: March 20, 2009 10:17:20 PM
I want to create my own stickers using my photocopier, but I can't find any sticker paper and probably don't know the right term for it to find it.

Edit: I found JAC paper but it is double sided adhesive so I wouldnt be able to print on it
2  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / bleached the neckline of my tee by accident - what to do with it on: July 12, 2008 12:51:48 AM
I'm wondering if I should just hem the edge of my tees neckline so that you can't see the bleach or do something else with it.

Its bright pink with a picture of a bow on it and very fitted, so no puffy sleeves unless its a different material

and I'm very into gothic lolita style

Ive looked through recons for ideas but no luck
I'm just at a block
3  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / A team single doona! on: May 09, 2008 12:50:52 AM
Its texture is cotton/slightly flannellette?
Its bright red with a large continuous print of the A team (Chuck Norris, Mr T)

I still havent been inspired as to what on earth to do with it

I don't want a dress or any other garment made from it unless you want to commission one Tongue

There must be something to do with it

7  REUSING/RECYCLING/RECRAFTING / What the heck can I do with THIS? / Gumball dispenser on: October 30, 2007 06:30:01 PM
I bought a big gumball dispensing machine for $1 at a thrift shop
the mechanism doesnt seem to work and Im not sure how I could fix it
(the thing inside doesnt move to push things down the hole)

Is there anything I could use it for?
I dont want to rip it apart and make other things though

just any way I can make it dispense something?
still being able to use the spirally bit would be good too.
8  CLOTHING / Clothing: Discussion and Questions / help with grommets for corset on: October 16, 2007 01:21:33 AM
I'm going to make a corset.
But I have no idea what to do about the grommets/eyelets
IF I would need a type of gun thing for them?

And I couldnt do them like buttonholes either because I dont know how.

But is there any other way to do holes?
Could I just make holes in the fabric and sew either side or something?

Keep in mind I am a poor student Tongue
9  PURSES, BAGS, WALLETS / Purses, Bags, Wallets: Completed Projects: General / Messenger bag - Louis Vuitton inspired on: September 16, 2007 07:01:53 PM
Well it started out with me just doing some opshopping when I saw a sheet that looked like the lining of expensive types of bags, the colour, the pattern.
So then I found some brown checkered curtains for the outside and started on this half width small style messenger bag.

I had to cut each square out separately from the material and sew them all together... too many different types of browns on the curtain....

And then just put it all together, working it out while I went.

Sorry the pictures don't do it justice

It has really gorgeous pockets inside it, they look proffessional  Wink

And because its rather boyish, I gave it to my boyfriend since he has no small bags. Its been sitting on the back seat of his car ever since  Angry
10  CLOTHING / Clothing: Completed Projects: General / Gothic & Sweet Lolita Headbands [My first post] [With tut] on: September 04, 2007 07:47:55 PM
I made these rather simple but gorgeous lolita headbands to wear with my more frilly dresses.
Haven't got any pictures where Im completely made up yet, but heres some basic ones of the bands

To make them is so simple, just cut two rectangles of the base fabric you want to use, I used black velvet and pink satin.
Just sew those together, making the ends round whilst you do this AND sew in long pieces of ribbon in each end to tie around your head while you do this.

then you just sew some lace around the edge and make the laces edges go over each other at what will be known as the back of the band from now on Tongue
for the black one, during this step I sewed ribbon in crisscrossing patterns across the top in this step. (pin those in place first before sewing)

You might need to sew the lace a few times in different spots to keep it from sticking up too much. E.g. I sewed mine two times, at the laces 'border', then close to the headbands edge.

Lastly I grabbed these darling premade rose things my mum had had for ages and hot glued them over the ends. But you can just make a bow or something else creative.
