1  Veronica Mars choker in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: General by nad on: September 03, 2010 01:58:50 AM
The last few days I went crazy on Veronica Mars - been watching it non-stop, and I loved the choker Veronica was wearing in the first season. Sadly, I couldn't get a good look on it while watching, so I went online and found some good close-ups (posted below). I thought that it was pretty easy to make, but wanted to make it black with silver-looking circles, since I don't have a lot of brown clothes and... yeah. Plus, I L-O-V-E chokers!!  Grin

So, here is the result:

The clasp:

The whole choker:

I think it looks pretty cute and subtle, yet it adds a great lot to the outfit. =))

And here is the Veronica Mars choker itsself:

Aaaaaand a close-up:

2  GIMME BEADS!! I've gone bead crazy. Anyway, here are some bracelets I made in Beads: Completed Projects by nad on: October 07, 2007 05:27:51 AM
I've really gone bead crazy these days ... I've been making all those beaded jewelry and I don't know if I'll ever wear them all(well, I've made some things especially for my friends, but still...)
Anyway, here are some bracelets I recently made ... I've put them in chronological order - the blue braceler is the first one(for those ones) I made and the red one with the heart is the most recent.

On my hand :

I don't have the last one on my hand, because it's too tight for me to wear it ... I made it like that on purpose since I'm giving it as a gift to a friend of mine, whose wrist is narrower(?) than mine.

THIS is the one I'm talking about :

And this one I also made especially for a friend of mine ... for my best friend, actually. I'm almost certain she'll love it =))

Here is the tutorial for the closuer I've used on all 4 bracelets :
http://www.rubysbeadwork.com/BeadedBallLoop.html

And the tutorial for the daisies : http://www.homestead.com/EagleSpiritUK/DaisyString.html

Well, what do you guys think ? Do you think they'll like them ?

4  My first pair of earrings !! + a matching choker in Beads: Completed Projects by nad on: October 04, 2007 01:35:42 PM
Today I was hanging out with 3 of my friends and we went to eat a hamburger ... actually only I ate, but never mind ^^; As I was ordering I noticed that the shop where I buy my beads is just opposite the fast food restaurant, so I asked them to go there so that I can buy a few beads(actually A LOT of them). So ... we went there and I bought myself a lot of black and a lot of white beads, some red and some blue beads ... and that was it, I think. I bought the red ones, cuz red is my favourite color and I bought the blue ones, cuz I think they'll match jeans and ... a lot of other stuff, too ^_^ Plus, my best friend's eyes are blue and she also has a lot of blue clothes ... and I was thinking to make her something beaded - a necklace, a choker or a bracelet.

Sooo ... enough talking XD I've got a big mouth, don't I ?? =)) So I made these star earrings today, just a couple of hours ago ... and I also made this matching necklace to go with it =)) Ever since I started working with beads(which wasn't that long ago), I've wanted to make myself some red earrings ... and now I finally did !! Horray !! for me ^_^

FINALLY, here they are XD Click for full view =)

First - me modeling both things :

Me, modeling the choker :

And here are earrings themselves :

The choker :

Aaaand finally, a close-up of the choker =))

I can post links to the tutorials I used, if you want to, just tell me ... I'm too tired and lazy to do that right now(it's 23:35 and I've been beading for the last couple of hours without taking a break!! =))))

Well, what do you think ?? Please tell me, this is my very first pair of earrings ^_^

5  Two Black & White Bracelets in Beads: Completed Projects by nad on: September 30, 2007 03:51:00 AM
I've got a lot of black clothes ... well, not TONS, but ... just enough Wink My hair is /naturally/ black, I've got dark tan and I LOVE black ... so I thought to make myself a few black bracelets, since I already have a black necklace and I made myself a black choker ... oh, and I also made myself a black button bracelet ( https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=193917.msg2044110 ) =)) But I thought that I'd look too dark and gothy ONLY with black ... and I'm not really that kinda girl ... also, I wanted to add some other color to the bracelets, since I will have black hair, black top, black necklace, black bracelet on my one hand and ... it would look dull =))
So I decided to make a black and white bracelet !!

Here is the result :

On my hand

And then I thought to make another bracelet ... well, it was originally going to be a choker, but I totaly hated the way it looked on my neck, so I decided to put it on my hand it looked really cool =)) I mean ... here is the supposed-to-be-choker :

+ a close up

And here is it on my hand :

The white and black "circles" pass each other on the seperate rows. I mean it's now black circle under black circle, but it's black circle under white circle ... got my idea ?? ^^; (sorry, English isn't my first language)

What do you think ??

6  White Zig-Zag Choker in Beads: Completed Projects by nad on: September 30, 2007 03:34:54 AM
My mom bought me a white necklace+earrings from a dollar one store(or in my case - lev one store) when she saw me beading necklaces and bracelets. She bought it because she thought it was cheaper to buy those ugly necklaces from dollar one stores and use the beads from them instead of buying individual beads. I think she was right =)) But w/e ...

So the necklace had tons of small white beads, some bigger white beads, some mother-of-pearls and some ... ummm ... other stuff XD I thought to make a zig-zag choker out of the small beads, since I really liked the result from my first beaded choker ( https://www.craftster.org/forum/index.php?topic=193981.0 ). But I thought to make it slightly different, so I added the bigger beads at one point and later added those other stuff and it looked ...... interesting ...

So here are the pics ... oh, I forgot to take pictures of the original necklace >.<

The necklace itself.

Close-up

On my neck =D

I later realised it(the choker) would look great with a bracelet my elder brother brought for me when we went to the sea =D
Here is the bracelet my brother gave me :

So ... what do you think about the choker ?? I want honest opinions, please, because me, myself ... I'm not quite sure whether I like it or not =/

Oh ... here's the link to the tutorial : http://www.rubysbeadwork.com/ZigZagChoker.html

7  2 bracelets with paperclips & safety pins in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by nad on: September 04, 2007 04:43:52 AM
Yesterday I found this thing(actually two of them like that, with a blue stripe and one with a red stripe) somewhere in our apartment ...

... and I thought that I could made some bracelets out of it ... or maybe even a choker necklace =)) Well, for now I've only made 2 bracelets out of it ... I'm planning to make some more ... and maybe even try the choker.

So here's the first bracelet ... the one with the safety pins.

The pin on the top is the one that actually fastens the bracelet. And the thing that is in the biggest pin in the middle is actually a button I was planning to make a ring out of ... but then I saw it laying around my junk and I thought to pin it in. Without it, the whole braceler looks dull ... and simple and .... just dull ^^

Here's how it looks on my wrist ... on the front :

Back :

The button :

The other bracelet I made with some color paper clips ... I was planning to make it with those bigger clips ... but unfortunately, I could only find a few ... so I made it with those smaller paper clips. They are all the same size, I just put the white ones the other way, to make them look bigger Wink

The clips on the top are the ones that actually fasten this thingy =)) Here's how :

On meh wrist ... the back, the fastening :

Aaaand the front/side :

Phew ... well ... that's all for now, hope you like them !!
If you have any ideas how else I can make bracelets with this thing, please do tell =))
My next idea is to sew a few buttons on !!

P.S.Excuse my hairy hand >.< ... hairy by nature =/

8  Choker Necklace (very first necklace!!) in Beads: Completed Projects by nad on: September 03, 2007 11:07:09 AM
Yay !! I'm so very proud of it ... I mean ... this is my first beaded thing ever =DD *excited*

On my neck :

The necklace itself :

Sorry about the flash =/

A close up :

The ... erm ... ball ... closing ... kinda thingy on the one side :

Too bad I'll probably never wear it ... because those shiny white beads make it look so elegant =( Ah, well ... I'm probably going to give it to my mom ^^ It's not that she'll wear it very often, but at least she'll appreciate the gift =))

So ... what do you think ?

[EDIT] I just gave it to my mom ... she REALLY liked it. We went to a wedding a few months ago and she said she wished she had that necklace back then ... awww ^^

Now I'm making a matching bracelet ... basically the very same thing, just much shorter and less time taking =))

9  Button bracelet (very first jewelry!!) in Trinkets and Jewelry: Completed Projects: Reconstructed by nad on: September 03, 2007 06:41:11 AM
When I found this site, I got inspired and I really wanted to do something ... some jewelry.
So yesterday at around midnight I remembered that my mom had a lot of buttons ... and I looked through this site to find out what things I can do with them. There were some wonderful ideas and some great projects. But the thing I wanted to do ... and the one I thought I could do was a bracelet. So I did this bracelet ... and I'm very glad with the result ... and I'm kinda proud of myself ^^ I hope you guys like it, too =))

So here it is :

Some close ups :

I used elastic string at first, but then it got really floppy and uncontrolable >.< So I put some cord on top of the elastic ... but I didn't put the cord through ALL of the buttons, cuz then it wouldn't be able to stretch =)
